Get stuffed in Sussex..

Went for a little walk at the beautiful church and had a delicious lunch at pub. Staff very friendly, main course £10-£12, salmon was very good. Chips great, food for everyone was very good and 'clean'. Toilets were clean. Dogs and children welcome ! Will Come Again

My husband and I have had this pub on our list to visit for ages!! On a rainy Saturday we decided to try it at last! We didn't book but perhaps we should have as the car park was full and we almost drove off but spotted a few cars parked over the road and up a country slip road.... More

We saw a sign at the side of the road to The Cricketers, it was 12:30, so we thought why not? Thank goodness we did, this place is a little gem. A traditional old pub with amazing food and Harveys ale as well, what more could you ask for? Log burners? Yes. Garden? Yes. Lots of tables? Yes. Clean loos?... More

Food was great limited veg option but what we had was great. Staff friendly and helpful when asked questions. I would return. It is small... More

Excellent pub on our way to Eastbourne. We often stop here for a bite to eat and a jar of Harvey's beer. Particularly nice in the summer when you can sit out in the rose garden. Good, hearty, honest pub grub - you really cannot go wrong.

A pub to remember. It all started with a huge dilemma as to what to chose on the menu, the specials board had me salivating from line one. A dilemma I would be more than happy to have everytime. Even after the decision to have pie was made (which I advise), every other plate looked most certainly more than edible.... More

We had intended going to the Tiger at East Dean but it was closed for refurbishment. Heading back to Hove on the A27 we called in to the Sussex Ox which was a complete disappointment as they dont serve lunch on a Saturday after 2.30 and the general atmosphere and attitude was pants (wont be going back there) But this...
