Booked my birthday lunch here for 12pm and when I arrived at 11.50 they wouldn't let me in as they were only serving coffee until 12. I was told to return in 10 minutes. I didn't return

Loved this place, I checked it out before going to Eastbourne and thought we might give it a try. There's not many seafood restaurants around other than fish and chip one's so you do have to do your search in advance. We had a starter of smoke mackerel pate , oysters, squid, prawn cocktail, salad and bread and butter, fantastic.... More

Five of us went to lunch at the Belgian café, we had only been there for drinks before this, as the men enjoy the vast selection of Belgian beers, overall the food was ok, the sea bass ordered by two of the party was £15.99 ( which to be fair was a bit steep for the one small fillet of... More

Went to the New Years eve party here. The service was excellent, lovely young smiling waiting staff, very courteous and nothing too much trouble. The food was good although I thought for the price we paid the coffecould have been included. There was a lovely atmosphere and really enjoyed the Jazz duo up to 11pm and then the other folk... Going to keep this simple, great selection of beer, food very average, service ok. If I ever went back it would only be for a beer. A bit of a let down and not cheep.

I have eaten at The Belgian Cafe many times and the experience is consistently fantastic! They have a speciality of mussels in this seafront restaurant. 50 excellent mussels recipes. I have never tried one that was not delicious. If you don't like mussels there are plenty of other first class dishes on the menu. Again, I have enjoyed every dish... More

The restaurant is offering FISH & CHIPS - buy one get one free. I went inside and enquired how much the fish and chips were - £10.95. Gulp, I thought - £10.95 for fish and chips - they must be something special for that price. I would never have paid that for one portion of fish and chips - but... More

We called in about 5.30pm on the spur of the moment. We both had a different pot of mussels. Excellent. Staff were very attentive. We'll be back...soon.

Just ordered from the just eat website. Completely misleading discription chips were under no circumstances 'home made'and trading standards will be informed. myself and my husband were both unable to eat the burger and the bun as they were Rock solid. Most disgusting meal I've ever tried. Needless to say we did not finish our take away. The place should... More
