Very friendly

Stumbled on The Belgian Cafe while they were having a beer festival a few weeks ago. Friendly & knowledgeable staff....I just wish I liked beer more!

This restaurant has a lovely ambience- welcoming staff and first rate service. The range of Beers from Belgian to British is excellent and the authentic Belgian dishes are subtly and distinctly flavoured. An eclectic mix of musicians feature at the venue throughout the month so you can be guaranteed to be entertained while you enjoy the excellent food and wonderful... More

I have visited this restaurant with my mother on both our visits to Eastbourne. On our most recent visit we even decided to eat there on consecutive nights, such was our love for the place. The restaurant is ideally located along the seafront, close to the main centre. There is always a very nice ambience inside the restaurant and the... More

The drink selection is quite large here but the on tap beers was disappointing personally with only having the three they brewed while having a ton of bottles. The in house beer was quite average but the best drink of the night was a pina colada. We planned to order two new drinks for future rounds but it was the... More

We went there for the Friday night music night and the mussels. They now do home-brewed Belgian beer, which is excellent and very reasonably priced. When ordering starters (of which they have quite a limited selection) I asked our ?Eastern European? waitress if I could have a half portion of a pasta dish for starter "No, we don't do half... The food was excellent, and served by a delightful young female who did all to make our meal there something to remember. The price of the food is quite expensive compared to many other good restaurants in the area

sadly we've seen this place going down with every visit over the last four years - chef changes have meant inconsistencies in the quality of the food, management and staff keep changing, not experienced or trained well enough to deal with any customer service issues....getting increasingly more disappointing!!

Great location, you can sit outside and have views of the sea. Seemed a little unorganised when we where there but it might have been because they were busy Would like to go back and try the food as it look very tasty

Had a lovely meal here. Great range of food - especially for fish and seafood - and was well cooked and presented. The beer menu is extensive. Service was good. And a great location!

Well done to this establishment in providing Non Alcholic Beers & Wines. The bar staff were so knowledgeable and helpful - we had a good time sampling some of the nicest Belgian beers out there - it also meant that one of our party could also have a nice drink as well (non alcholic Juliper, very nice) - all beers...
