Surprisingly good food, delicious micro-brewed beer

For an eatery right on the promenade the quality of the food does catch you somewhat off guard. I was hoping for them just not to ruin my mussels, which they did a fine job preparing. My companion's seabass fillet was also quite lovely. The real highlight was, of course the beer. Firstly they brew... read more

Been to the Belgian 3 times but never wrote a review until now. Positives - Their specialty are mussels, and they are good! Their own brand beer was also good (get the dark) and the price is reasonable compared to the Belgian brands. The service is okay - there is one lady that was really friendly and attentive, I should... More

Ate at this restaurant for the first time a couple of months ago whilst visiting Eastbourne. So, booked return whilst in Eastbourne for the tennis. Very impressed on first visit, could not fault. However, visited last Thursday and very disappointed. Waitress was very good, could not fault service. Speciality is mussels and whilst OK, lack flavour, certainly not as good... More

This place is in a great location and has a great menu. My husband loves the range of Belgian beers. The cocktail menu is also extensive. We have eaten here on a few occasions and have not been disappointed.

Four of us went here for a spur of the moment Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. The menu for food and drink is huge, so there must be something for everyone. My husband and I both had the mussels, mine the creole. Very spicy and delicious. My husband had the lobster bisque which was equally delicious. The other two... More

The duck salad is a must a favourite of mine and my sister. If mussels are your thing they have 50 different ways to do them. A relaxed atmosphere, service and staff are lovely. The last time we visited it was my sons birthday and at the end of the meal we were all given a complimentary shot of schnapps.... More

We went on a Friday night, there was live music which was great. The big attraction is the mussels these come in big pots cooked to your preference of 40 different sauces! also they brew their own beer on the premises, definitely worth a try. for us it was a good dinner out :)
