We went for a drink Saturday afternoon while the airshow was still on - there wwas lots of people around and this place was packed. The waiters were helpful enough but did not really respond to our request that we need to leave very soon and wanted to pay the bill asap - the wrong wine pinot grigio came and... More

We went in here for lunch on a very busy day during Airbourne. There were 4 of us. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio, a glass of Apple juice and 2 glasses of tap water plus our meals. The wine and apple juice took about 15 mins to arrive, but they were busy. I asked about the tap water,... More

Went here last night, he was absolutely packed which may not of helped. When the food arrived, my girlfriend got her mussels first, then it must've been a 10minute wait before I got my burger. The chips werent fully cooked, we mentioned this, they took them away and didn't bring any new ones back, they asked what sauces we'd like... More

We were very disappointed with our expensive meal Fish & chips £10.95 - tasted nice but lots of bones which I hate - especially as it was served in a metal cage like box and I couldn't get to the bones easily. The chicken parmesan £9.50 was anaemic looking and tasteless - swapped with my partner who will eat anything.... More

Excellent mussels a la plancha. Wide variety of dishes going from Belgian food to UK's fish&chip. Terrasse outside.

We have been using this restaurant over the years and invariably had good experiences; the mussels have been great and portions fair. But today was different. My starter of French onion soup was generous but a better description would have been "red wine and thyme soup with onion". Hubby was disappointed with his third rate mackerel pate served with cold... More

Whats not to like!??The varied seating areas and types catered for large parties or couples .Service was reasonably quick given the wide scope on the menu.50 different ways of doing mussels and good selection of Belgian beer made fo an enjoyable evening. Main drawback was the state of the restrooms -definitely need a re-vamp. Staff took note of our concerns... More

A very nice experience. The food was great and very reasonably priced. We had the seafood platters. The beer selection is the best I have seen in Eastbourne. The service was good, not the best, but good.

I had heard a lot about The Belgian Cafe. Mainly good things. So I decided to have an evening meal here with a few glasses of Belgian beer. The steak I had was excellent and the beer was strong and of excellent quality. These were the good points. But I believe the restaurant's appeal will be much better enhanced if... More
