Pleasant place for evening beer

The placement of this establishment couldn't be better. Right on the promenade ! We passed each evening and the sight of full tables of multi cultural people enjoying food and drink is a wonderful sight indeed. There is a row of bench seats against the building and various tables on the wide... read more

Unusual restaurant that specialises in mussels. They also have a huge selection of beers including their own home brew. Had a great evening.

Spent two nights in Eastbourne with my wife late August and ate here on the last night. Mussels were excellent and a great range of Belgian beers as well.

We'd booked for an early evening meal, we were met by friendly staff and shown to our table. The menu for mussels is extensive, near 50 different ways to be prepared. Having placed the food order our next job was to work through the extensive beer list, spoilt for choice. The starter and main course arrived fairly quickly. As the... More

This restaurant is run by someone who is always striving to create as interesting and enjoyable experience as possible, without any hint of complacency. To this end, they now brew some wonderful and reasonably priced beers on the premises, as well as continuing to offer music events to complement their good food and service.

Nice food and friendly staff. Nice to have something different to choose from than the ordinary seaside pub grub.

I was a bit dissapointed with this restaurant. Whilst the mussels were good the rest was very ordinary. It has clearly seen much better days as the furniture was damaged and in need of repair or replacing.

Not allowed in, despite sign saying non residents were welcome. There was a big muscular bouncer on the door who rather rudely told us to go away.

If you love mussels then you will find this a treat. They have over 50 different flavours of sauces so you have a wide choice. My husband had the fish cakes and although they were nice he felt the portion size was a little small. I cannot say that for the mussels. Beautifully presented with a large portion of thick... More
