Took my partner to lunch on 24th July. Slightly apprehensive in view of some poor reviews but we had an excellent lunch in the form of a 3 course set meal at £26 per head. Excellent value for such fine dining and can thoroughly recommend.

The staff at the Eastbourne were kind enough to accommodate our wish to be notified of cancellations, as we decided to stay the evening in Eastbourne after hiking the Seven Sisters. We found the food to be quite good, and the restaurant had a cosy atmosphere with a lovely piano accompaniment. We were a bit younger than the rest of... More

We love this place and seem to come often, to celebrate special events. Lovely restaurant, wonderful, attentive staff, and exquisite food. If you want a really superb dinner, lovely flavours, delicious wines and want a restaurant with class, do not hesitate to come. They always have something different on the menu and I have tried many foods here that I... More

I have known, dined at and stayed at The Grand Hotel, Eastbourne many times over the years, and always found it excellent. Until my last visit, which was and will be my last. Last year (2014) I decided to take my Mum and a very good friend to The Grand Hotel, Eastbourne for Christmas Day lunch. It cost me £135... More

Whilst the dining room was pretty, we had lunch yesterday, so disappointed . Had the set lunch, my cauliflower soufflé was hardly heated, pork was dry, potato cake dry, veg courgettes peppers tomatoes, poor. I opted out of pudding, my Husband said his was ok.

Punters at the Mirabelle are very easily pleased! Yes, the room is pleasant and so is the atmosphere; the staff are willing and capable; the setting traditional. And there it stops. We returned recently to see if the thing that really matters - the food - had improved. Tasteless and bland starters; tired fish that had swum its last some... More

My Partner and I go in and have lunch or dinner on a regular basis because the service and the food is extraordinary. Ben and his co workers cannot do enough. Top quality service always. Thanks to them all for always making it a wonderful and pleasant experience.

Just spent a delightful time having lunch with friends in The Mirabelle restaurant. Excellent food and superb service!! Only one thing the restaurant could do more than one vegetarian option as my husband doesn't eat fish so he only has one choice on starters and main course. However I will be back with in June with two friends And I... More

Last night we visited this lovely restaurant in the Grand Hotel, for our anniversary. No, it is not cheap but the whole experience was lovely and for a special occasion was good value. From the cocktails in the bar with nibbles, to the dancing to a live band after our meal, in the lounge, it was a great evening. The... More

We made a slightly scruffy family group having just come from the lambing centre down the road but were given a warm welcome into the extremely elegant and beautiful setting of the Mirabelle restaurant. This is a classy, old fashioned dining experience reminiscent of a bygone era with formally dressed waiters and linen napkins and the food reflects this, is... More
