Fine food and wine. Staff generally attentive in the restaurant, surprised at staff near ballroom who were surly. Good experience overall.
We were staying at The Grand(as we do!) and went to The Mirabelle for dinner on one of our evenings at the hotel. The room is large with tables very well spaced.we ate Smoked salmon and creme fraiche gateau, followed by local roast Pheasant with truffled bread sauce. For pudding we chose Brabourne apple croustade with caramel ice cream with rosehip syrup. We thoroughly... My better half and I visited the mirabelle restaurant on November 14th this year. We were greeted by friendly staff who directed us to the restaurant where coats were taken and we were seated and asked if we would like a drink whilst we scanned the beautifully formed menu. We decided to go with the chefs taster menu, and we... More
I eat regularly at the Mirabelle, and have always enjoyed an excellent meal and great service. There is a good choice on the set menu, and a lovely selection of bread to accompany the meal. The service is discreet but friendly, and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Occasionally I think the food may have been kept hot for too... More

Lovely menu and wine list. Well presented food. Excellent staff and service. Lovely old hotel, which takes you back in time. Very good value.
Update, not changed, its like travelling back in time to a restaurant that Hercule Poirot would be comfortable eating at. The service is amazing, wouldn't be out of place in a top London restaurant. The food was even better this time than our last visit. Not cheap but this is classy dining at its best and I have eaten at... More
