The Holiday Inn Fish restaurant is situated close the theatres in Eastbourne and an ideal place to pop in for a meal either before or after a show. We were out for a walk and decided to buy lunch out. The restaurant is a 'no frills place'. The restaurant was clean and well cared for. The food was well presented... More

In my opinion the best fish and chips in the area. You can take away or eat in, quick efficient and friendly service.

I you expect fine dining this is not for you, just the best fish and chips. No white table cloths, no fish nets and lobster pots on the ceiling but plastic tables and chairs and simple decor. The decor does need updating ( perhaps some sea fishing memorabilia and pictures ). The service is very good with pleasant staff. A... More

Quality doesn't match price&not up to the standard that i'm used to, also car parking is MUCH easier away from the seafront.

Used this on our last visit to Eastbourne - great food, reasonably priced with very friendly staff. Tried to go back on our last visit but was closed for Christmas/New Year break - will definitely go back!

As a restaurant or a take away, we use to recommend this Fish & Chip shop to everyone and sing its praises loudly. The portions of the chips reduced a while back and we ignored that, as the quality of the fish and chips was still excellent, but on the last three or four visits, the chips have been soggy... More

A busy family run fish n chip restaurant. Good vfm but a cup of tea is just that, no pot, just one small. The food was ok but average. The service was fast and friendly.

Came to eastbourne from North Yorkshire for the weekend on a first visit with the intention of proving Whitby fish n chips were the best ever. We have had to eat our words as the cod and chips we were served were almost equal in standard. The holiday inn was extremely busy and although we had not booked a table... More

Found this recently after being recommended by a friend. It is your traditional fish and chip shop. The staff were OK but not over friendly, but we were not expecting a gourmet evening! You get what it says on the tin - good, traditional fish and chips. There were 4 of us, and all plates were cleared! Can't ask for... More

Eastbourne is one of the best seaside resort in the South East. The Holiday Inn Fish Restaurant ( sounds like a motel for the amphibious ) is simply the best fish & chip restaurant you may ever experience. It's nothing special inside, but maybe it's the thin crispy batter (no double dipped puffed up batter here), or maybe it's the... More
