Well Worth a Visit

We went to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago as part of a party of about 34 people. The service was friendly and very efficient. Hot drinks were served while we waited for our meal to be prepared. The fish and chips were well cooked with just the right amount of batter on the fish and a nice... read more

Went here and had the large cod and chips. It must have been the largest fish I have had and it was excellently cooked. It was served by the very pleasant waitresses. The restaurant is licensed so you can enjoy a drink eith your meal. We went early and it was fairly quiet but soon began to fill up. Very... More

As another reviewer has pointed out, the decor here takes you back to the sixties but it is no worse for that. The restaurant is, by the way, spotless. What can you say about an old-fashioned fish and chip restaurant? It is about the basics: in this case, the fish is excellent and the chips are crisp, not soaked in... More

This is my local fish and chip shop, been going for 10 years. Now I am not a fan of fish and chips but here I am, their fish and chips are always fresh and not kept warm. The food is always piping hot and very high quality. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommended this... More

The location of the restaurant is really good if you're watching a show at the congress. The décor is simple and basic. There's a kitchen on site you can look into and it's got very 1960s, maybe 80s green patterned tiles. I liked these. I had the same tiles in my bathroom when I bought my house 6 years ago,... More

I went with a couple of friends in search of fish and chips. The hotel we were staying at recommend the place so we were keen. As soon as we entered our problems started. The man at the fryer ignored us as we greeted him. We tried to get another man's attention once we were seated and ready to order... More

Found this by accident whilst looking for somewhere to eat before a show at The Congress Theatre. It was such a good find. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and immediately inside the front door is the takeaway counter. The decor and layout is a throwback to the 70's, but don't let that put you off, because the... More

Visited with a friend on our first trip to Eastbourne and what a great find! Cod was lovely in light crisp batter and really good value! Looks like a small take away shop from the outside but it's actually got plenty of room for eating in and is comfortable and brilliantly retro. Like stepping back a couple of decades but... More

Popped in for some fish and chips with my friend when we first arrived in Eastbourne and Im` so glad we did. The cod was massive and the batter was light and crispy. The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. If you want a posh fish lunch then go somewhere else but if you want friendly service... More
