We have been coming here for many years. Yesterday I was feeling a little unwell and could not face much fried food so I asked for grilled place and half chips / half salad which I am fairly sure I have seen here before but which is common in other places. I was told they could not do this for... More

As a resident of Eastbourne I am appalled at how awful this shop is. No clear pricing, bad and disorganised service. They get your order wrong and the standard of the food is very low. We had 3 takeaway fish and chips, the amount of chips was minuscule, the chips were soggy and undercooked, the fish was placed in top... More

We like to go for traditional fish and chips when visiting Eastbourne for the air show or otherwise. And there's nowhere better than this family-run business. The menu is surprisingly long but concentrates on the British chip shop staples. Always popular, the service was efficient and pleasant and the bill at the end was as delightful as the food in... There was some initial confusion if table service existed outside. This was down to the never ending take-away queue. They seemingly somehow managed to serve everyone and the food was great and much needed. Great great service, though the restaurant felt dated inside. All fish and chips went down a treat after a long day!!

We have been eating at the Holiday Inn for at least 30 years, always fresh, always good, always good value for money, no long waiting, always busy, the only changes are in the ownership and they are I am told a nephew of the original owners even the main chef is the same

Visited here a few times. The food is always nice and you never have to wait too long. Just be warned, it's always busy! That's because it's popular and for good reason. If you fancy fish and chips....... here's the plaice.... to go.

Visited Holiday Inn after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. The service was very efficient and friendly and the quality of the food was very good with generous portions. It is a typical fish and chip restaurant found at English seaside resorts but unlike so many these days , emphasis is on good service and good food.

Our hotel recommended this resturant saying it was the best fish and chips in eastbourne, which i have to agree with. The portions were huge and all the food looked lovely and fresh (not greasy like some places) and of course most importantly it tasted so so good. All the staff were really friendly.

Consistently delivers fresh, well cooked Haddock and chips in a friendly atmosphere and at a good price. One of the best places for a traditional fish and chip dinner in the South

We did not book, but friendly Italian family with hospitality matched with good food quickly found a table and added to it so we could all sit down. The fish and chips large fell over the plate both sides so I had the medium which was not quite so big. A lovely juicy piece of cod, well battered and smashing... More
