Was looking for a coffee/tea place other than the big chains whilst on a visit to Eastbourne. Found this one just opposite one of the entrances to the Arndale Shopping Centre and was pleased we did. It was clean and modern looking. You place your order at the counter and then the drinks etc are bought to your table. Service... More

Smart and jolly cafe serving fantastic coffee with excellent cakes, sandwiches and snacks. I hope Cafe Nero and the others are nervous this independent cafe should be treasured.

Very nice place with friendly staff and best service! Coffee is marvellous but hot chocolate with marshmallows is spot on! If you with kids you will be surprised ordering apple juice! You will drink more than the kids ( russet apple juice)!

Urban Ground is a lovely alternative to the large, chain coffee houses in town like Starbucks, Cafe Nero and Costa. The premises are small but spacious with lots of different seating - including outside - depending on your type of visit (solo, with friends, with little ones, etc.). Service is quick and personable and the range of interesting and unusual... More

High quality food and drink - you pay a bit more but it's worth it! The roasted red pepper, rocket and houmous wrap I had was delicious. Water is provided so that after your coffee you don't get stung for a mineral water. Good service and a friendly welcome. We walked a long time to find a decent place for... More

If you want really good coffee then forget Costa and Nero. This is the one. Lovely coffee brought to your table with a smile. Excellent stuff.

Without a doubt the best coffee Eastbourne has to offer, I travelled round Australia which is home to some of the worlds best coffee and this definitely rivals that. I wouldn't have coffee anywhere else!

Great coffee, great service, great atmosphere and fantastic home made cakes. If you are in Eastbourne and fancy a coffee, there is no better place to go.

This place does really, really good coffee. It has speciality roasts and "guest beans". The staff take pride in chatting to you about them and ensuring you are enjoying your choice. The flatbreads and sandwiches are gorgeous - fresh, tempting ingredients, and the soups are out of this world. Spicy, beany, and full of goodness. I love popping here for... More

I went yesterday on recommendation from a friend. I pulled up a plastic and rather cheap looking chair and decided to sit outside. The plastic table was clear bit dirty and hadn't been wiped. Service was good although a little long but a good sign because a good coffee takes that little bit longer to make. I wasn't eating. The... More
