Recent celebratory lunch here. Great food and attentive service from this family run restaurant. I wanted to deduct half a mark as I thought the decoration had a whiff of the seventies but everyone else disagreed. Whatever. This is a great place, suitable for all sorts of parties/events. Seek this place out.

We couldn't fault our evening at this restaurant. Good service ,good menu and reasonably priced wine list . The food did not disappoint. A cosy relaxed atmosphere made this a night we all enjoyed.

We just went to the Hidden Cellar for breakfast, so I can't comment on the rest of the food. I think breakfast is served until 12pm, when the lunch menu kicks in. The bigger breakfast wasn't really that appealing, but it's possible to get the smaller one and kind of build your own, so I had an extra egg and... More

Visited back in September but haven't got round to writing a review. My new favourite restaurant in Eastbourne, I was really pleased with the food and that they made the effort to put a bottle of wine on the table for our arrival (i emailed in advance and requested it as a birthday treat) the prawn starter was delicious and... We visited this restaurant for the first time last week. It was a Thursday evening so very quiet so not sure what the noise level would be on a Friday or Saturday. I had the tartlet as a starter which was enjoyable. There were 4 of us and all decided we would like the 40- day rump steaks. However they... More

On Saturday 1st March evening I went with my husband and family members to celebrate my Mother's birthday. I thought the service was poor, slow and with mistakes made. My main course was acceptable but very plain for the price charged, but the apple and rhubarb crumble was awful. The fruit was over sweet and where was the crumble? There... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and sorry to hear you weren't happy with your visit. I have been in contact with you directly to explain that another large table turned up an hour later than expected, which caused us some issues as they arrived at the same time as your table. I can only apologise... More

My partner & I had a lovely meal recently. The young waiter was fantastic and attentive, and as for the food well probably one of the best steaks We've had and we've had many steaks! The all round food quality and presentation was second to none. A little hidden gem in Eastbourne which we would highly recommend and will definitely... More

Wanted to try somewhere different for lunch with a friend. We both had the broccoli and Stilton soup which was delicious. The restaurant was very clean, cosy and inviting with lovely pictures of Eastbourne around the walls. The waiter was a lovely young lad who did an excellent job.

Went today and had a really great breakfast, not often the case as a vegetarian. Great quality food, good price, the coffee was special too. Worth mentioning that the service was friendly too....give it a try.

Thank you for your great review. We think the vegetarian breakfast should be of the same quality as the standard full english, even down to the butcher making the vegetarian sausages. We're glad you enjoyed it and hope to see you again soon. More
