My partner (being quite a cream-tea connoisseur) saw the sign outside this Cakery proclaiming it the home of best cream tea in Eastbourne, and so decided to test it. Well, It is! The scones are truly amazing, service just lovely, rather quirky decor. In an area rather over-served with coffee and tea shops, this one stands out. We loved it,... More

Sisters family business cooking, serving and hosting delicious home cooked savoury and sweet treats. Close to the pier and easy walking distance to the shops. Nice place to meet friends and catch up over a decent cuppa in a bright town centre tearoom.

Recently stayed in East Dean with two good Bavarian friends. Decided to walk from Beachy Head down into Eastbourne into through the pleasant and tidy layered gardens leading to the elegant promenade and bandstand/pier area. By the time we arrived at 2pm we were peckish and Terminus Road was an obvious avenue into the town centre - which did not... More

Nice choice of snacks and cakes here. Cream tea was huge! Order the milkshake for the novelty factor in that it's served in a glass jar. This fascinated my young son, no end! The story of the place on the back of the menu, was lovely to read. Would like to have seen this place promoted better.

Popped in for something quick to eat and loved the place. Lovely story behind the place (as written on the wall), excellent friendly service, great tasting panini's and excellent value for money. Coming back again to try out the naughty looking cakes and cream tea!

Fabulous shop, great service and an excellent choice of sweet and savoury! Great sandwich menu. I had goats cheese, salami and fig, fabulously tasty. The cream tea is great value, the lemon roulade is to die for. Service is attentive and the decor is lovely. This place is a must. These 4 sisters have really brought a great little place... More

A unique Coffee /Tea shop owned and run by jolly enthusiastic sisters who love their work. The cakes are delicious and certainly not for those who are calorie counting! Almond croissant are especially scrummy!

We found a new (to us) spot for lunch and it has a unique atmosphere due to the cakes, cupcakes, and aromas! We had a panini with fig and cheese, beets, colslaw , and a slice of the most popular cake! All were delicious! The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Bring cash when you visit Neate's.
