Nice pub away from the crowds.

I loved this little pub. Its a bit far from the main part of town but still near lots of shops. Plenty of places to sit and a huge bar that looked like it sold every kind of drink. Good seating arrangements for people who want to sit at the bar away from the bar and in what looked like... read more

There was a big crown of us, with a mixture of ages. The food was varied and a little more up-market from usual pub grub. The sweets were lovely, I would recommend the eton mess! Would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

This is a very popular place judging by the large amount of diners on the Friday evening when we visited. Real ale and wine was reasonably priced. The food was typical 'pub grub' and with lots of choice. One of our choices was pizza which was very good, really huge and loaded with toppings (and really would have been enough... More

We make a once a year pilgrimage to The Marine - and have done for more than 12 years - for the authenticity and ambiance of a solid Harveys Pub. The beer is really good, the service is always excellent - thank you Fran - and the steaks are the very best in terms of quality and value. We should... More

What a great place to go for a meal ! We found it by accident, on our first evening in Eastbourne on a short break. So glad we did. We went there each night after that, and both of us had different choices each time. The meals were fresh, tasty, good-sized, and well cooked, no matter what we chose. The... More

Had a stunning sea bass perfectly cooked. Excellent accompaniments to compliment such a beautiful fish.

Good quality food and well run local family pub. Prices higher but means clientele better than other local pubs. Landlord is an absolute master with his knowledge of whisky. Ask him about it. Recommended

We stumbled across The Marine which looks ok from the front and back, but is actually a fantastic pub. Do go in as it was excellent all round. Very friendly and efficient bar staff (the lady manager was brilliant and so on the ball), lovely, wholesome food which is priced well for what you get and the beers were great.... More

Been to this pub/restaurant a few times now when visiting Eastbourne, the food is very good and plenty of it and very reasonably priced, the pizzas are very good and they will always do half of one and half of another which is great, well worth a visit if you like well cooked and wholesome food
