I have visited Curry Leaf on two occasions now. One being on a Sunday when the food is all half price for the whole day and the other on a Saturday night with friends. While the Sunday meal provided excellent value for money; I couldn't help thinking that the normal price is a bit on the pricey side and I... More

One of the great things about my mother-in-law is that she loves a curry. Mother's day and Easter Sunday catered for at my new favourite, The Curry Leaf. A difficult woman to please is my mother-in-law and her directness and Maltese demeanour can often upset many a restauranteur but there's no chance here as the cooking is authentic, tasty and... I hadn't done my usual Trip Advisor homework this time, thus there we were wandering aimlessly about Eastbourne looking for dinner, when we met proprietor Keith. I'm rarely swayed by this kind of direct pitch, but he is a genuine fella and I admit he had my attention when he mentioned Trip Advisor. I was able to check the reviews... More

Excellent fresh tasting curry, very friendly, knowledgeable staff. However.. A bit pricey, we got charged £5.50 for 4 popadoms and dips. This was the same price as a main course and we presumed it was complimentary. This was the only detractor from a great meal, we felt a little cheated.. Say no to the popadoms!!

Something of a hidden gem, the Curry Leaf serves up the best Indian food in Eastbourne. There are a number of other Indian restaurants that are more popular but they are resting on their laurels. The food, service and value are all excellent here. The lighting is a touch too bright but that aside, there is little to criticise. If... More

We went here based on trip advisor recommendations and were not disappointed. They were happy to spice the dishes to our taste (spicy). The naan breads were delicious, light and freshly cooked. My only suggestion would be to vary the mix of vegetables in different vegetarian curries to differentiate the dishes more. Nice atmosphere and friendly service.

I enjoy my curry but hate being in a new place an not knowing where the best curry is. We walked past a number of standard looking places but the wonderful smell drove us towards the curry leaf. Looking in the place had a crisp clean look about which made it look a reasonable bet. The friendly staff ensured our... More

Our first trip to Eastbourne and I found this restaurant via this sight. We arrived at the venue at 5.30pm, it was closed, Open's at 6pm, Whilst walking around there were other Curry Houses open where we were tempted, but decided to wait till the 6pm for the Curry Leaf to open, and i must say, so glad we did....
