Nice food, but needs a makeover

The first thing that hits you as you sit down is the apparent lack of atmosphere. The decor is very boring and you can't help wondering if its too late to try somewhere else. We have been to the Curry Leaf many times before and have always thought it very good value for money. However on visiting over the Easter weekend it seemed that the prices had doubled, and therefore their half price offer was twice the price it was before. All very confusing. However the food was very good but expensive on the... More

Dropped in for a meal after work. Greasy starters, bland mains and some very odd pricing 'rules'. There are far better places to eat in Eastbourne. The reviews seem to be really mixed, and maybe it was an off night, but the pricing makes it a lottery to know what you will end up paying.

Can't fault the restaurant on price or service, and when they discovered that a child in another party was having a birthday they really pushed the boat out. If you prefer your Indian food fairly unchallenging then you'll probably love the food here too. But personally I was disappointed by the blandness of several dishes - I'd have preferred a... More

Service very slow and do not think you can use your Gourmet society membership here, despite booking and stating that I was to use my card, they said they are no longer members when it comes to the bill. Their prices are double on the menu and they "offer" a 50% reduction to everyone who eats there.

We visited The Curry Leaf for the first time and found it to offer everything a curry-lover could want! The food is delicious with good size portions and the service is excellent, oh and the price is amazing! The food is offered at half the price of other Indian restaurants that we've been to and is an absolute bargain because... More

Me and my friend decided to reward ourselves with a nice curry after a long week of uni work. We ordered a rogen and a korma. When it arrived we opened the packages only to discover that rogen josh had a total of 4 pieces (medium/small) of lamb. I was even more upset when my mates korma was overflowing with... More
