We have been coming here for years now and have never had a bad meal. Came back for my birthday with the family. The atmosphere is relaxing, not hurried, food is excellent as always, nice and fiendly. A secret gem !

My daughter and I visited on Tuesday evening before going on to the theatre. We were asked where we wanted to sit and selected a table in the window - we were though the only people in the restaurant that night so a distinct lack of atmosphere. That said obviously the service was very good and attentive and the food... More

Service was awful! Not sure what has happened here but it was not a good experience at all! Staff in desperate need if customer service training! Food bland! I have been here before and it was very good, business might not be so good hence the restaurant half empty.

Lovely food with excellent service. Very reasonably priced for the food we had. Scampi (non breaded) was delicious.

I've eaten here a couple of times previously from the special offer menu and enjoyed it. On my recent visit, however, I did not. The mushroom and asparagus risotto was very bland. It just tasted of creamy rice, with no flavour at all, and the asparagus was tinned! Despite adding a generous amount of salt and pepper in an attempt... More

We visited Michelangelo's Eastbourne on a wintry evening and were greeted with a lovely warm welcome, really good food at excellent value from the specials menu , and superb attentive service.

This was our second visit to Michelangelo's for a pre-theatre meal, this time before an afternoon rather than evening performance. We enjoyed tasty dishes from the set menu (£10.95 per person for three courses, with a complimentary glass of decent house wine). The ambience was pleasant and the service prompt but unpressured, enabling us to eat and drink in a... More

Having eaten in this restaurant a number of times over the past year or so I felt I must write a review to let people know what they are missing out on. I have eaten from both the set lunch menu and the a la Carte, and on all occasions the meals have been excellent and great value. The food... More

There are many Italians in Eastbourne, and only a few are very good, Michelangelo is one. Unlike some of the others that spent their money on decor, Michelangelo has concentrated on the food. The decor is pleasent rather than cutting edge trendy. Both the quality, taste and value was superb, my wife and I had the set lunch menu, having... More
