Superb Food and Service

My wife and I ate in Chapter 1 on the first night of our break and what a superb start it was. Mussels and Fishcakes to start, beautiful. Sea Bass and Spicy Chicken and Prawns for our mains which were absolutely to die for. Lovely sweets and a massive Brandy to finish made for an excellent meal... read more

Once again the welcome was friendly and warm from Gavin (Dublin) and Bliss(England). Service was excellent; food was tasty, though the fish dish was over battered and the mushy peas cold. The wine was overpriced however. Will try a different dish on next visit in the autumn.

Dined here Sat evening with hubby. Nice atmosphere, clean and welcoming. Brilliant service. Had chateaubriand medium rare. Was good (not amazing) - sides were good, nicely presented and perfect portion sizes. Creme brûlée for dessert was ok but top wasn't crunchy enough. Fab wines. All in all it was a good experience and will visit again.

This restaurant offers something a little more special. The menu has some of the regular favourites, fillet steak, beer battered cod with hand cut chips, sea bass, chicken etc so most tastes are catered for. In addition there are some interesting and different choices which proved to be delicious, especially the feta and chorizo stuffed baby squid on a bed... More

We went for a sunday lunch. My sunday roast was just two big pieces of red meat and side dishes. My friend had the lobster, very blend. The staff behave like 3 star michelin star people but in this area are better restaurants. No value for your money. Wine menu not special.

This is a lovely restaurant, very friendly staff, the food was excellent, I had a ribeye steak which was as good as any I have had before, my wife had the battered cod , again it was excellent. I would not hesitate to go back there and have recommended it to our friends.

Thought we would give this a try as saw it on trip advisor and it wasn't far from our apartment. Had a bit of trouble finding it as its so small and sandwiched between other shops, but it was worth seeking it out. Food was hot and tasty. Service was very good. Will definately go back.

Have just had an excellent afternoon at chapter 1 with my husband to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. Our table was laid with confetti & we received a lovely card from James & Bliss. The food was excellent the recommended wine was superb & the attention to the smallest detail was really appreciated. Thank you we will be visiting again... More

Went to Chapter 1 the last time my husband and I was in Spain and I've got to say it was amazing. We both had beer battered fish and chips with mushy peas totally outstanding. The only problem was that the fish was huge and I didn't manage a pudding. I can't wait to go back which will be next... More
