Huge range, great affordable food

This place is a chain with about 5 restaurants throughout Penang. We live a few kms from this outlet and have been here a couple of times now. This restaurant has the right ambience to attract foreign tourist. Reasonably priced South Indian cuisine with a bit of North Indian dishes to accompany. A dish that is a 'must try' is Palak Paneer - a north indian dish consisting of pureed spinach with paneer (cottage cheese). A good variety of Naan and Tandoori with the condiments is another good... One of the prime location of penang. Surprisingly low cost, yet the best food. Most of the food cooked freshly. Try their special crab. Fish fry, kebabs, chicken fry not to be missed. Don't bother to have your meal at Flamingo hotel (unless it it free morning breakfast). A fest for couple within 30rngt only!!

This is a nice resturant opposite the flamingo hotel, it serves a great varity of foods from counter base to a la cart menu, the choice of tandoori is amazing and one of favourite dishes there, breakfast dosai is a must...it can get very busy so at times your order may take some time and dont expect all the orders... This resterant is one of our favourite places, it's busy morning's and evening, but the staff work hard to attend to all tables minimising the wait. If you want to eat dinner on a budget, go to the counter and choose your own curry & rice meal, ordering from the menu can be expensive, although you have a full and... More

very disappointing to say the least. I come from KL and the average indian eatery in KL can serve far better thosai's, poori's and even teh tarik. The teh tarik has "red brick" colour and if my senses are right - its made from fake tea powder mix. The have madras coffee but it probably is the worst ive had... More

If you like Indian food then this place is a must. Built in the theme of a hawker centre their is no pretence of this restaurant being a fining dining place until you eat the food and realise this is a restaurant that delivers fine dining food at a budget. 50 RM or £10 will see you through a couple... Very busy place to work. If can dont go there spend little bit money just go little india find mire variety of indian food.
