Excellent fish restaurant.

Very good and delicious klipp fish! Delicate served, good atmosphere and very nice personnel. I really recommend this restaurant.

Charming setting and very helpful host / chef, good with recommendations. I would have had the bacalao (salt-cod) but living in Portugal I get enough of that! I chose the fish soup which unfortunately was dull and had a strange background taste. If I had not been in company I would have sent in back, especially as I paid €28... More

I have been to Smia perhaps 20 times on my visits over the years. This time 17 May 2015 I was surprised to see the place had been brightened up to the extent of losing some of the historical ambiance. Reason: New owners. The food was excellent if perhaps striving to be a little too high end in the fine... More

If you wish to have a lifetime experience you need to get there. In a special old building a great enteriour with blacksmith s fire place. Friendly staff, willing to give you a warm home feeling, paying attention on the customer. The chef is an artist bringing traditional fish dishes on the table. Simply the best possible place, must be... More

A proper Norwegian dining experince. Lovely little restaurant with an extensive menu of local specialties, predominantly fish and sefood related. The heritage of the local stockfish industry is well preserved in the decor, and I definetly recommend you go for the bacalao at Smia!! A bit pricy.

A local fish restaurant in one old Norwegian boathouse and a smithy from ancient times. Nice converted into a restaurant with distinctive intact and friendly hosts. The food was very good but not Kristiansunds cheapest :) Should be tried for visitors who wants a special experience, not easy to find but all natives know where it is! Special atmosphere! :)
