Good experience to have Norwegian national meal and traditional drink in the comfortable atmosphere. Tasty, not salty, a bit old style and not juicy. Will add a lemon juice next time or will advice it to ask for. Akvavit - is matter of taste, but not mine.

We ate grilled monkfish stuffed with shellfish. We ware very deisappointed for that portion. - It wasn't stuffed, stuff was besides - you didn't taste or saw any shellfish - there ware any salt at all in the fish - the sauce was white beurre blanc, as well the fish and the whole plate - at restaurant's home netpages the... Tuesday night, full of people! Got the only table left. Had the bacalao fish balls for starters. Really nice. Then they messed up my order and served me a fish dish instead of the salted meat with local dish "blandabaill". However, this was rectified by them offering me a drink free of charge, and i received the correct dish shortly... More

A nice enough restaurant, though nothing special really. We had the 'Husets Bacalao' which was tasty, quite spicy and very filling (modest apetites might go for the small portion), if a little bit oily for my taste. Biggest problem was the lack of other diners; we ate on a Wednesday evening and were almost the only customers at 7pm (admittedly,... More

Enjoyed a good meal of clipfish, mexican style with salsa and quacamole. Good atmosphere. It was quite busy, which is always a good sign. We were well served.

Eating out in Norway is always expensive, but when you find a medium priced restaurant with fish as good as this, don not miss the opportunity! Different "klippfisk" (bacalao)-dishes, but only one meat-alternative (in the unlikely case that one of your party do not want to eat fish). Try the exellent "blandaball" - balls of different cod-fishes, potatoes and onions,... More

Scallops in curri sause, clipfish the traditional way with onion, bacon, vegetables, pea stew boiled potatoes was delicious! 5 out of 5. The other in the company found their fish a little too salt, - and pasta too oily. Nice wine selection for the courses. The dessert, - pineapples with chili, carpaccio sliced looked better in the meny than it... More

Nice restaurant in city centre in a quiet street, specializing in salted cod dishes. Ok Service, good food, just missing the little extra to get top score.

Fairly good food. Ok + service. One of the places in Kristiansund to get good "klippfisk" dishes.

Split cod marinated with basilicum or gratinated with cheese. To much to eat both, but impossible to choose between them. The angler fish also fantastic. Higly recommended!!! Beeing in a city nearby - just take the trip to Kristiansund and visit Sjøstjerna !!!!! At the same time - experience a charming coasttown facing the Atlantic Ocean.
