You get what you pay fore.

A very nice place to dine. Be sure to book your reservation in advance, since this place soon fills up. If you are a party try the sampler bacalao. This lets you try different ways of serving the bacalao. Sit back and enjoy the food the view and the bad Ålesund weather.

I'm from Aalesund and have heard great things about the restaurant, but never been there. This weekend I went there with a friend for the first time and for us who do not like bacalao it is a sheer disappointment! I ordered fish today, which should be fresh. It was dry! Without sauce and vegetables to. There was also bad... More

I was in an experimental mood and ordered the Italian bacalao, which is served with aioli and bacon, instead of tomatoes. It was good and tasty, but in my eyes it stands no competition with the original tomato bacalao. For starters I ate mussels steamed in white wine, and the portion was generous and delicious. I had vanilla ice cream... More

Best restaurant in Alesund. Mussels and reindeer are a must. Went here two nights in a row after the first meal being so delicious. The staff was very friendly to two college-aged US travelers, and the Chef even came out to meet us the second night. Hostess, Ayla, is the best!

This is by far the best restaurant in Aalesund at the moment. I had Cod tongue with scallops as a starter. This is their number one starter (!!) and is a fantastic dish - try it! This time I had the Bacalao con natas (white Bacalao) as main course. It has a mild taste of curry in it and is... More

The food was absolutely excellent! As was the service. From the outside, and even from the entrance, the restaurant looks quite anonymous and rather uncosy. This is not the case at all! It is very cosy and the view across the harbour magnificent. Make sure to book a table well in advance and ask for a table by the window.... More

Overall: 5 Other comments: this must be the best fish restaurant I've been to, so far, and it's going to be difficult to beat. A treat to the eyes, delicate, and tasty in a variety of ways, and new combinations of ingredients. Amazing! We came here a Saturday evening at 20:00 thinking we could get a table. No chance.... I stood there for a while and looked at the menu and the maitree Roar Aarseth asked if we could go down in the bar for 40 min and he would get us a table. 60 min later he came down to the bar... More

Here's the best bacalao in town maybe even the best in Norway! Good and various meny for the food but also the wine list is perfect! Good service and very good staff who could answer questions regarding both the food and the wines! Well recommended!!
