Exquisite!

Everyone would say: go eat where there's a line to get in. And here you'll mostly always find one. But what to say? You can pick anything blindfold and be sure you won't be disappointed, best cappuccino in whole Norway and try their cakes......!!!

A combination of tourists and locals constantly fill the busy and unassuming coffee shop. The menu at Lyspunket is varied but just small enough to easily maneuver. Honestly, I think anything you get on the menu will be outstanding. It’s the kind of place where everything is fresh and made with love. We shared the West Coast (Pulled pork sandwich... More

We had lunch here, and the place was pretty busy, yet the food came pretty shortly after we had ordered. I had the James Dean burger, which was home made from top to bottom, served with small potatoes on the side. The hamburger was really tasty. The potatoes were a little oily for my taste, and I would have prefered... More

So I have to confess that I am American and i love spicy food. Norwegian food is wonderful, but I miss the spice! Well it can be found here! If you're not a fan of the heat there are milder options, but you should try the Sweet Samurai if you're missing it! A very unique and creative menu that was... More

As many of the typical lunch restaurants in Aalesund this one does not serve alcohol. Still - this one is one of the absolute best when it comes to food and ambiance. Good burgers, sandwiches, pasta and soup. Diverse and good menu! Try it!

Norwegian service is: order at the bar, pay directly, grab your own glass and cutlery, get your drink and walk back to your table. The food at Lyspunktet is not that expensive. I was there a couple of times. The teriyaki was quite good and tasty. Next time I had the Snill Samurai. The tast was nice but you could... More

Nice cafe in the heart of Ålesund offers relaxed atmosphere and home feel. Order at the counter and the meal is brought to your table. Try the quiche, which they call "pie". Served with a generous salad and amazing homemade multigrain bread.

Was here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. You could see how popular this place is as the crowd never stops. Had the fish soup which was served with wholemeal bread that has a hint of carrot/cinnamon. Really yummy especially from the cold outside. You order at the counter and collect your beverage there. Other than that, they will deliver... More

Especially when you have been traveling through the north of Norway and the only item on the menu which is not fish has been whale you are happy to have some good international food. Good quality meets a good price. Also vegetarians will find a nice meal and have a choice.
