Norwegian service is: order at the bar, pay directly, grab your own glass and cutlery, get your drink and walk back to your table. The food at Lyspunktet is not that expensive. I was there a couple of times. The teriyaki was quite good and tasty. Next time I had the Snill Samurai. The tast was nice but you could... More

Nice cafe in the heart of Ålesund offers relaxed atmosphere and home feel. Order at the counter and the meal is brought to your table. Try the quiche, which they call "pie". Served with a generous salad and amazing homemade multigrain bread.

Was here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. You could see how popular this place is as the crowd never stops. Had the fish soup which was served with wholemeal bread that has a hint of carrot/cinnamon. Really yummy especially from the cold outside. You order at the counter and collect your beverage there. Other than that, they will deliver... More

Especially when you have been traveling through the north of Norway and the only item on the menu which is not fish has been whale you are happy to have some good international food. Good quality meets a good price. Also vegetarians will find a nice meal and have a choice.

Food was pretty healthily cooked with lots of greens and portions were generous, did not seem to have anything deep fried on the 2 dishes we ordered (chicken and fish), but prices were a bit higher than average (~130-180 NOK on average) for mid ranged cuisine.

Small coffee house/restaurant in center of town. We had lunch here with our family of 5. Food was very nice (lot of fresh vegetables) and prices were for Norway extremely reasonable. Would definitely go there again!

We ate here twice within a week, excellent fish soup, and can also recommend the homemade pie! - don't forget to get your coffee refills

All I had was a double cappuccino, but truly it was excellent. I have visited several other coffee places in Norway. This is the best so far.

This is a very nice place to enjoy lunch or a coffee/cafe with friends in Ålesund. All the food is home made and amazing. Love the atmosphere with seating on the street and in the split level courtyard. Friendly service.

I'm a local in Ålesund and this is one of the places that me and my friends usually go to. They have good coffee and very good cakes. Also a good menu with differeny hot foods. A bit expensive, but worth it in my opinion.
