I came here by suggestion of TripAdvisor and it worked out very well. Nice staff, good food and a relaxed atmosphere.
We haad a 3 course dinner here. Great starter, main course and a terracotta that melting on your tongue. This small restaurant in this back street is just a hidden gem. Origginally it is a Svedish restaurant that is why it have the name "the neighbor". I recommed this restaurant for everybody. And the prices are reasonable too, even in... More
Best restaurant in Bergen without a doubt. Charming place with good location (centre of Bergen, close to theater) and good service (waiter was explaining us, what we are eating and how is it prepared). Best salmon which I ever ate - fresh and delicious.
Whenever I'm going out to eat in Bergen, a safe bet is Nabokjelleren (the downstairs area). With two different places to eat; a restaurant where one can reserve a table upstair, and a "come as you are" downstairs. The downstairs has a relaxed ambiance and good food, for a reasonable price. Also a good selection of beer. Its also centrally... More

I ordered the smoked grouse breast for a starter whereas my colleague went with the "gubbröra". The grouse was... More
While on top of Bergen, an expat from Ohio recommended Naboen to us. We decided to give it a shot and we're blown away. Quality was of the food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. Each dish had delightful flavors that kept you wanting more. The wine selections were well done. And the prices? Pretty good by Norway standards, 800NOK... More
Delicious meaty potatoey yumminess. Quaint little pub, below their restaurant. Reasonably priced- very good value for Norway! Service was friendly and quick. Decent wine and drinks list.
Ended up going here twice while on our trip to Bergen and loved both visits. Had the burger and chips on the first visit and the Swedish meatballs on the 2nd visit and both were delicious and very reasonably priced. Didn't have to wait to sit either times which was nice.
We visited Naboen to have a taste of the season's fresh cod (skrei) and were not disappointed: the fish was delicious and well prepared, as were the pea stew, bacon, sauce and potatoes on the side. The service was friendly and quick. A recommendation!
