Delicious Seafood in a Charming Setting

The TA reviews touted the quality of the seafood selections here and we found them to be spot on. This was my first taste of real Norwegian food and I was immensely impressed. I had an Elk filet and it was outstanding. I also tried the lutefisk that my friend ordered and I actually liked it!

Enter the front of the building and take the stairs on the left up one flight. Walk straight ahead through the door an be transported back hundreds of years. The restaurant in in a very very old building which will be evident as you are seated. Tables are fairly close and space is tight so I wouldn't plan taking the... More

Our family of four were led to this wonderful restaurant on our only night in Bergen, in advance of a boat trip through the fjords the following day. We'd taken the majestic 7 hour train ride through the tundra from Oslo and were tired and hungry, so this meal had high expectations. We were enthralled by the 100+ year old... More

Enhjorningen, or Unicorn is a fish restaurant on the second floor of one of those 18th century Norwegian houses on the wharf in Bergen. The reception by a very nice , white bearded gentleman made us feel right as rain (apparently common in Bergen :-) . The food was really good. Not experimental like Copenhagens fine places or molecular like... More

Went for supper with another couple the night before our cruise ship left port. Right on Bryggen. Very nice décor in the dining room. Look out the windows and you can see the wharf. The service was outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. We all ordered something different and everyone was very pleased with our choices. It is a bit on... More

Had their 3 course dinner and it all started well. The waitress was nice and friendly. The starter was acceptable, and the fish main course was very good. But when I came to the dessert I was very disappointed to find that my Crème Brûlee was like soup. I told the waitress and she was very understanding and sent it... More

My food was okay but not worth the price and my girlfriend's food was just simply a rip off. She got the asperigus and salmon which had about three stalks of asperigus and two tiny bites of salmon, for about twenty dollars. Our waitress was cold natured and did the bare minimum. I would not recommend this place as there... More
