We had broiled cod and the fish pie (cake). Both were very tasty and came with potatoes and carrots and were a good value for Bergen. Long bar area. More of a pub. Limited dining seating.

Wish we would have time to eat here twice! Nice, casual neighborhood restaurant. Reasonably priced and quality food. Service was very good. Try the "fish stew" if on the menu. It was a very memorable meal for us. I want to go back!

Lovely local food, nice staff and atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and the food is tasty. It feels like you have been here before, so cosy and a home away from home.

Visited Pingvinen with plans for dinner, but there were "technical difficulties in the kitchen" so food was out. My wife and I had a beer from their great beer selection and it was great. Busy on a Saturday, but still good service and great ambiance. Norwegians use the word Koselig "cozy" to describe many things and that is a great... More

Me and my sister went to this bar for dinner on 3rd September. You order at the bar here. It was quite busy with a nice atmosphere. The beer choice was good and fairly reasonable for Norway. The food was very simple. I had a fish pie which was tough round the edges, accompanied by grated carrot and some new... More

Nice neighborhood pub. I had the fish pie with potatoes and grated carrot. Nice simple food, good beer, moderately priced (for Scandinavia). Frequented by both locals and tourists.

Nice selection of local beers. Food wise we tried the cod, fish stew and meatballs. They were all excellent. A mix up in the ordering meant they prepared one dish too many, not a problem they just have it to is for free!

Nice friendly staff, good coffe and a good selection of beers. I avent tried the food, but their signature ball of warm popcorn are great. Not to pricy, but it is quite small (some call it genuine) ;)

The menu was good, and our food was interesting. However, the high point for me was the beer selection, which was quite broad. I ended up getting two different beers from the Aiger Brewery in Flam, Norway. I had heard good things about the beer from that brewery, and was very pleased! Good atmosphere, service was good, prices were reasonable... More

Fun little pub type place..ask for the English menu which changes daily with specials. Someone will speak English and they are very nice and friendly. I had the cheese plate which was enough for nor or two. Great local cheeses with a crisp to go with it. Wife had the homemade potato soup..very good. The Norge IPA was tasty and... More
