Beautifully situated on a small island reached by a 30 minut boat trip from Bergen this restaurant serves sea food at rather high prices. We were a large group visting the restaurant and we got a buffet with soup, smoked salmon, smoked whale meat, crab claws, scallops and sallad to, in my eyes, a far to high price. To this... More

I have had the opportunity to eat twice in this restaurant on business occasions, and both times the experience was incredible. The food consist almost only in fish and other type of sea products, which they collect themselves. So freshness is guaranteed. They serve a modern type of cuisine using very high quality ingredients. As mentioned in other reviews, this... More

We went for a business dinner, and we all had a great experience. The room we got was perfect, with a great ocean view. The food and wine were really good. The service was impeccable. A great night at a great resturant.

Restaurant Cornelius is as much about the dining experience than the food (although the food is very good.) You catch a 25-minute ferry ride to the restaurant, and when arriving, greeted with a nice glass of Prosecco. Staff was friendly and informative. Their wine cellar is quite unusual, for better or worse, and strangely I'd say that both terms apply.... More

As mentioned in many reviews you get to the restaurant via a ferry ...and the ride is about 30 minutes and is very nice. We had lovely weather and the views from the ferry where fantastic. When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by a friendly staff and a glass of Prosecco, which was lovely. We went with... More

If you are going to Bergen, make a reservation to get in here. The restaurant is hard to get into, and hard to get to, being on an uninhibited island in the middle of the fjord. There is no set menu as the fishermen bring their catch daily, while crayfish, oysters etc are kept healthy in small tanks. We had... More

To reach this restaurant you are whisked from downtown Bergen by Ferry (35 minutes) to a very small island. The restaurant, very modern, is perched and built into, the rock of the island, with big, glass fronts. The restaurant has multiple levels and both indoor and outdoor seating. We went as part of a group and got our own room.... More

If you have a lot of money and don't care how to spent them, this restaurant probably for you. The food is not bad and service is not bad. Very touristic atmosphere and the bill was very impressive! We travel a lot and visit a good restaurants but never paid this kind of money for a very average place like... More

The seafood was excellent, and I love the concept- no menues, just food based on how the weather is! Very tasteful wines, and the wine cellar was very impressive. The staff was very service minded, from the moment we stepped into the restaurant and till we went home. They told us about each course and the wines we got served and gave... More

Loved this place! Amazing food and wonderful service. Food and wine parings were an eating experience like none other! Great to watch people who really excel at their work enjoying what they do. This American guest will return again for another visit to this special place... Thank you for an evening to remember.
