Great restaurant service and food. If you want something besides the typically touristy food found in the wharf area the short walk is definitely worth it.

Went to "Spisekroken" for a date and was very much disapointed. I had read about how coosy and nice this resturant was, however to my disapointment it did not live up to its praise. The food was very good, I choose their specialty which was veal from the west coast. It tasted delicious and was well worth the price. The... More

Don't miss this wonderful restaurant! Food was perfectly prepared and elegantly presented. The restaurant is small and cozy like the name suggests. Our favorite meal during a two week trip through Europe.

Food was tasty but menu limited and not all items on the menu were available. Generally the portions were a little small and the service was brusque and lacked a friendly smile. To show balance, one of our party rated the meal in the top 5 meals ever eaten hence the 4* rating

Wonderful food. Tiny restaurant upstairs but more tables downstairs. Interesting menu with a Norwegian influence in the dishes and ingredients and all cooked to perfection. A MUST if you love your food and are in Bergen. We went twice in 4 days for dinner.

We were a party of four, and all of us loved our meals from appetizers to desserts. The restaurant is small and charming in a quiet neighborhood near the harbor. The service was excellent______ very helpful and friendly. The dishes were beautifully presented and delicious!!! Make a reservation. They are deservedly very busy.

Based on the reviews posted here, we reserved a table for a Monday night. The place is small and quite intimate. Staff is very friendly, eager to answer questions, but not overbearing. The wine list was nothing special, but we were there for the cooking, not the libations. The akvavit appetizer simply has to be experienced. I have discovered that... More

My wife picked this one up from TripAdvisor reviews (we didn't spot it easily in a trawl of the web), so we took a chance and booked in advance. The restaurant is 5 mins walk from the harbour, and looks really unprepossessing from the outside, being situated in a narrow street outside the main tourist thoroughfares. The restaurant is cosy... This restaurant is not in the general walking are of Bergen and we would not have known about this restaurant if it was not for Trip Advisor, booked it, based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed the food was amazing, wonderful taste sensations with local ingredients . If in Bergen do not miss this restaurant. Book on the internet... More

I stopped by here for Middagsmat without a reservation. It was crowded and a bit noisy on the first level and my language skills were not up to the challenge. So I was seated in a lower section and they found a server with English skills. The downside was it was very dark and even with a flash, none of... More
