A cosy restaurant with very good food

We went a Friday night in May after reading the reviews here. We had different plates and everyone was very satisfy with the food and drinks they got. The menu changes with the season. If you want to try a Norwegian gourmet meal this is the place to go and they also has a very wide wine list and... read more

This is a little away from the main central area and that probably saves it. We walked by on a Sunday evening and tried to book it for later but it was fully booked - we then got the last booking for the Monday. Justifiably popular with locals and tourists. Busy but good service, not cheap and one will pay... More

We picked this restaurant because the reviews were good and it was close to our hotel (but quite a bit up hill). We got there just as it opened. which was lucky. they were completely booked but had time to serve us before they filled up. the food was excellent. the presentations were beautiful. make a reservation. the place is... I was very much looking forward to trying this restaurant because of the great reviews and good prices (for Norway). Sadly, I was disappointed from my first bite. I ordered the veal and it was totally raw (not even rare). This was a surprise to me as I wasn't even asked about what temperature I would like to have it... More

This is a small intimate restaurant with a very nice menu. My partner had the duck and I had the trout, both of which were superb. Desserts are delightful, light and beautifully presented. There didn't seem to be a vegetarian option on the menu but maybe they will suggest something.

We were a group of almost 30 eating tapas at Klosteret, the Spisekroken department for closed parties (just up the street). In my experience, it is hard to get good tapas in Bergen, when served to so many persons. The Spisekroken tapas, however, was a pleasant exception. All the tapas dishes - both the meat, fish and vegetarian ones -... More

Celebrated a friend and had a nice 3 course meal from the a la carte menu. Well prepared food along the line and impression of food ordered by my felllow diners was also impressive. The waiter showed great skills in recommending wines to the different dishes.

On our last night in Bergen, we wanted to select a nice restaurant the would remain a memorable close to our 14 day vacation in Denmark and Norway. Spisekroken was just such a place. The selection is varied and they take local fare and bring some exquisite preparation to the table. An intimate place set in a quiet neighborhood, the... More

Want here with my boyfriend. Nice and intimate place, not to many tables and other guests. The food was amazing and the waiter was good. Definitely coming back here some day :)

On this trip to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, and Bergen, this was one of the best for absolutely delicious food without all the fuss of tiny tastes designed to show off a chef's artistic range. I had Carrot Soup and Trout, my husband Crab and Veal, and it was all presented beautifully with freshly baked bread and their own butter with... More
