This was one of the glorious places we visited during our escape to Bergen. We were welcomed warmly, and taken to our seats in a cozy area of this restaurant. I decided to have a seafood feast, and was delighted with what I had, despite the lobster bring unavailable. I enjoyed every bit of my meal, and so did my... More

A warm and rustic establishment with a variety of traditional dishes for every pallet. Some plates are a bit pricey, but the meal is well worth it.

Nice atmosfare, nice staff, good prices, and most of the food was really good, but we where four from work to chefs, and of our food we had to trubbels; The one order Lutefisk got one really good one and one bad, the bad one that was not tasting rigth at all. My entrecot, was one good pice and one... More

I have a couple of times enjoyed good service hand in hand with a cozy atmosphere at Bryggeloftet & Stuene, both at the Loftet for dinner and in Stuene for lunch. They have good quality for the money (remember the high price level in Norway), this is also a good place if you as tourist want to try old local... More

Liked the service, which was friendly and efficient, and the food, which is superb quality. Disliked...nothing. Thought it was pricey at the time, but this is typically Norwegian in terms of cost. About £60 for lunch for two, including a couple of alcoholic drinks and coffee.

Had dinner here the night of Tue Nov 11. The waitress was very friendly and accommodated me. Started off with bread and the Norwegian Fish soup and then tried Reindeer for main course....Absolutely delicious! Dessert was pavlova from memory which was a surprise to this aussie who didn't realise Norwegians did pav! Would recommend!

We were visiting the Bryggen area and saw this restaurant. It seemed cozy so we gave it a try. Pro: the food was well-prepared and tasty; good-sized portions. Con: our waitress was quite rude to us but very friendly to a neighboring Norwegian-speaking couple; snapped at us saying "We don't do that!" (asking for salad dressing on the side) and... More

On our first evening in Bergen we went in search of somewhere to eat, I had a quick wander around and stumbled across Bryggeloftet & Stuene. At first I was unsure, due to the location I thought it may be a tourist trap. However I liked the look of the traditional interior, so decided to go in. We were greeted... More

Located in a prime tourist area, the restaurant does not take advantage of its location and try to get away with mediocre food. It serves up tasty well prepared local cuisine and the service is attentive and pleasant. Try the wondeful fish soup and the moose dish is superb

Our Group of old friends had the traditional year-end lutefisk evening in the last part of November; and as usual very good. Recommended. This is a traditional resturant, with friendly and relaxed service. The lutefisk has always been good here, and should be tried out if you are in Bergen during the season. Usually the same goes for all dinners... More
