Great Norwegian food interesting setting

It was very typical rainy day in Bergen so the fish soup was a great choice! Also tried the mussels in a creamy wine sauce which were tasty as well. My partner had the bacalau...which is a cod stew and they enjoyed it. Just as most any place in a tourist location it was by no means cheap but the... read more

Four of us had dinner there, the meals were varied but the Wolf fish I think was the hit of the night, it is terrific. We also had Reindeer and Steak. There were no complaints of the food or the service , which was very good. The alcohol prices are expensive as it is all over Norawy. Well worth a... More

Went here in Dec for xmas dinner with family. My first time enjoying this popular restaurant. Great food. Stiff prices, but it is more than worth it.

I had a BLT the first day and the seafood soup on the second day. The food was great and the ambience was lovely. Great service also so highly recommended.

We arrived in Bergen quite late and the hotel recommended this restaurant for dinner as they were still serving. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was very good, and the food was terrific. We had halibut and chicken, both dishes nicely presented with fresh ingredients.

This was an experience as much as a meal. The food was excellent and the service was personal. Fish soup was great, as were the halibut and lamb. Only marked it down because of the price!

Have eaten here a couple of times lately and the food is very good and with fresh produce. The whale carpaccio is brilliant! The menu is mixed French and Norwegian - I recommend to focus on the Norwegian specialities.

I had lunch here and it was delicious. Staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. An old fashioned, ambient interior aided digestion.

Just been to Bryggeloftet in Bergen. It was a nice experience tasting some of the local stuff the waiter was friendly and made sure that we had what we needed. The restaurant is kept in an older style, and the speed of the serving follows that. If you expect to eat in a up beat fast paced restaurant its not... More

Had two excellent meals here. Had to suck up my scottish $tightness but the food and service brought me and friends back. The salmon is great and the pickled herring app is velvet. The halibut needs a sauce, as it is a little boring.
