A Real Delight and Wonderful Meal

This restaurant offers just a few entrees on its menu, but a large variety of tapas. Guests are encouraged to order 4 - 6 each, but we ordered about 4 each and had lots of food left over. The food and ambiance were fantastic and loved by all seven of us. It was one of the highlight meals of our... read more

Would certainly recommend this restaurant, location is great, set back from the main waterfront in a quiet location. The restaurant consists of two rooms either side of the bar, both of which are really cosy. The staff were excellent, service was the best we experienced in Bergen. My partner has a number of food allergies and they adjusted the dishes... More

Superb selection of well prepared food. Good service in a wonderful ambience. We first visited the restaurant in 2007 in late summer and in winter 2014 it was just as good. Highly recommended - not cheap but good value for money.

It was our first visit to Bergen and we enjoyed eating at Bryggen Tractursted on our first night. The restaurant is very intimate and charming with sloping floors and original timber features. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed a two course dinner. I recommend the pigeon for starter. We both choose the reindeer and were not disappointed -... More

We were walking around the historic buildings in Bryggen and were attracted by the restaurant set inside one of them. It turned out to be a good choice. As well as the wonderful atmosphere, we were treated with friendly service and excellent food. Four of us ate a wide variety of small tapas-style servings. I thought I might want something... More

Though pricey, we really enjoyed the lovely, historic building. Good food, tapas small-plate style. Service was okay, but nothing special.

I ate here in the winter, and I recall it as a small intimate space. Maybe they shut it down a bit in the winter, as this time it was on two floors with plenty of space. The uniquely clever menuing system remains - a vast array of small dishes, ticked if they are available today - and the impressive... More

The restaurant is located in an ancient and charming building in Brygge. We ate inside, in a dark wooden hall enlightened mostly by the light of candles. Food is excellent. You can eat sea food (salmon, smoked or fresh - always great - shrimps, prawns, fish soup, crab salad....) or meat (the filet of reindeer was very tasty and well... More

We ate in the Tracteursted in July with friends. We were looking for a restaurant with ambiance and this certainly had it. The interior of the room we ate in was completely clad in wood with a rough stone floor. The lighting was candles and we were pleased to have a seat near the window so that we could read... More

We had no prior knowledge of this restaurant (and even had to search through Tripadvisor today to find its name!) but it looked Norwegian enough, so we went in. We were there at a quietish time, and as people make atmosphere, so this improved as people arrived. I was fascinated by the old maps on the wall, which reminded me... More
