Limited choice but good quality

Found this cosy cafe when couldnt find the one we were looking for in heavy snow (found it on way back to hotel afterwards - our map wasnt very good). Limited choice of main meals but very tasty. Order at the bar and food brought to your table - staff friendly and helpful

Met a friend in the evening for supper. We had not seen each other in a while, and being he is from out of the country he wanted to see a typical cafe from Bergen. It had been a few years since I was here last, but I remember coming here during college frequently to meet other friends. This time,... More

Nice atmosphere in this place. We had a quiet evening meal here in December. The place is smallish, with helpful staff. You go to the 'bar' to order your food, which you pay for at the end. The food was good - pan fried cod with gremolata bean and chorizo cassoulet, with blueberry crumble and custard for dessert. Lovely! I'd... More

I had a late dinner here on Saturday night. I ordered reindeer roast and a glass of draft black beer. Taste of the dish and the beer was just fair. However staff is nice with prompt service. Cozy environment.

We visited on a recent trip to Bergen, this was the perfect place for a relaxed meal on a Monday night. Good traditional Norwegian food, good value (probably cheap for Norway). Highly recommend.

Came here for lunch after just having arrived in Bergen and to tide us over until dinner. Had the fish of the day which was a fried white fish over salad and bread with a remoulade on the side. It was tasty and reasonably priced for the area/country

Wonderful little cafe near the National Theater. Had the shrimp au gratin which was delicious! Not too expensive considering this is Norway. Service was friendly and efficient.

Love their coffee (food is fine, but not great) and people watch from their outside tables. If it is raining, and likely will be in Bergen, there are also tables indoors
