My wife and I have just returned from a Norwegian cruise and Bergen was our first port of call. I had done a bit of research in relation to the Bergen cafe culture and the Cafe Opera appeared a few times. We had a light bite to eat and a few drinks. Both were good quality and not too expensive... More

A very friendly local bar-cafe bistro alike, where you can either enjoy your drink or a quick meal. Jazz music was a very nice touch.

A great little cafe with simple, but delicious food. Good service, pleasant location off the beaten track. I would easily go there again......not touristy!

This cafe is in a good spot, away from the crowds. The service is efficient and the food is very good. I ate the Greek salad which was very filling and delicious. My husband had a chicken dish which he enjoyed. A good place to eat in Bergen.

Planned to visit Naboen for their burger, but it was closed. So Café Opera was second choice. Busy place, good food. Burgers were good size, but a bit tasteless and dry. Would also have preferred fries to potatoes. But still, a safe bet.

Came by for lunch. All tables populated by locals which tells me that this is a good place to eat. Prices still high but not the ludicrous prices charged by restaurants down by the Fish Market.Quality of the food good and service efficient and relaxed. Deserves to be in the top 20 restaurants in Bergen

In a great location, this cafe has an eclectic menu, comfortable decor and ambience, and was a great value. I ordered a BLT and got a huge sandwich with a side of roast fingerling potatos. One of the best BLTs I've had ever. Great photos on the walls as well!

We stopped in because of good recommendations from Trip Advisor...and we were not disappointed. The menu was good, and the service excellent. There were a wide variety of ages eating at this restaurant...all locals. The prices were modest compared to other places we had seen.

Comfortable, simple and cozy place to sit and relax. My family came here a week ago and everything was nice. Convenient location from the City Centre, delicious yet simple meals and a cute decor. Service was friendly and welcoming and I would recommend Cafe Opera to other travelers.

Very considerate of special dietary needs, special dishes were created in advance of our arrival, to match our needs, and were gourmet. Really excellent food and service. Old world ambience
