“Gourmet-light” in Trondheim

During a busy February weekend with a lot of students visiting Trondheim we also visited Trondheim and had managed to book at table for 4 pm. Due to early hours we were not super hungry and had main courses and desert alone. I had duck with spring rolls and my wife had seasonal cod. The lime based... read more

The food is well known for its exclusive tastes. This is close to food heaven. We all just loved the food and the drinks. The staff is well educated and pleasant. The prices are also close to heaven, but for a once in a lifetime food experience, it's well worth the money spent.

Went there with 40 (!) colleagues for a new years dinner. Ordered a 3 course meny with sushi (starter), entrecote (main course) and white chocolate mousse (dessert). The staff was friendly and really professional considering the size of our party. They explained that most of the products used are locally produced, which is good. The food was excellent and beautifully... More

I had a great dinner here. Service was correct and the food was great. Good wines made the dinner perfect. Local norwegian food (fish) was available.

This is more of a "summary" review, since I have visited this restaurant several times, both in business settings and privately. In my opinion one of the best restaurants in town in the "high end" segment. This menas that my expectations are higher in comparison with other restaurants already at the doorstep. BUT, mr. Hildonen and his crew have until... More

I have been a regular at To rom og kjøkken since their inception. The service has always been friendly and attentive, Hildonen himself a great host, and the food is always consistently good. In fact, the last couple of years have seen the restaurant going from good and reliable to very good. It has become a little more pricey in... More

I've been to this restaurant twice for my work Christmas dinners. The lutefisk was great both times, the other options I tried - scallops, mushroom soup and fresh mushrooms, reindeer - alright. The reindeer in particular was very tender but much too rare for my taste. And in general, I found the food at To rom o kjøkken to be... More
