Casual and great

This restaurant deliveres every time. It's casual, but also have a hint of high class. Especially when it comes to the food. They use a lot of local ingredients typical for this region, but is as much like a French brasserie.

The food is good, the drinks are better :) they now offer both wine- and beer-menus! Could have wished for more differences in tastebetween courses.

Dined here recently with a PhD-committee, with guest from Denmark and Ireland. Bad service, with a distracted and almost unfriendly waitress. I ordered entrecote, which was unevenly prepared and from meat of obviously mediocre quality. None of the other guest at the table seemed to be impressed. There are many far better restaurants in Trondheim!

We had an excellent three course meal here with wine pairing. Nice presentation of all courses and good wines. The service is very good and the waiter knows his wine ;)

We were a rather large group that had a 3 course meal with wine package. The food was very good and especially the main course, the halibut. As I'm enthusiastic about beer combinations to food I asked if they could set together a beer package to the different courses and that was no problem. I must say I was impressed.... More

Well composed and tasty food. I had the 3 course of the day for NOK 525 and it was good value. We had a good table by the window, but the premise is somewhat crowded and noicy. With more space it would deserved a score of 5.

My class went there to eat after a seminar, and we had this cozy room upstairs where we were served mushroom soup as starter, calf from a local farmer as our main course and a chocolate souffle as dessert. The food was amazing and excellent choice of wine as well. Go there!

A fantastic setting for a meal, a proffesional "private"waiter who told about all the foods and drinks we had, and good staff to serve us. Every relevant questions were answered at once, or in a short while after checking.

To Rom Og Kjøkken is an excellent choice when visiting Trondheim. The menu sports a variety of local ingredients prepared with french-european flair. Some might find the prices a bit steep, but considering the overall prices in Norway and the quality of the food, then this restaurant is good value. Check out the bar menu (early afternoon) for some really... More

I have had many meals at this restaurant, and the food has always been excellent. They use local products whenever it is possible and meet their standard. Fish and meat are always cooked to perfection, and the vegetables always enhance the taste of the main ingredient. The staff always give good advice about wine selection. I have also several times...
