This upscale place features a wide selection of beers from Norway. Some on draft. We tried one that featured chocolate and a 7.5 rating. He had the corn chowder & lovedt it. I had two cute little soft-boiled quail eggs with asparagus. My vegetarian-style risotto was delicious & his redfish was not over cooked. A very easy/going yet attentive staff... More

WE had the pleasure to enjoy fine dining in the heart of Trondheim. Celebrating my mothers birthday, we had an amazing 5 course meal accompanied by well selected wines. The well selected amount of local food made it even more interesting. Our table had inividual pallets and are not that easy to please, but here we got excellence all the way.... More

We had a wonderful meal at "Two Rooms and a Kitchen". The menu is an a la carte with set dishes and in addition Today's this and that, and two of us ended up with Today's fish which was turbot and it was excellent. Very fresh and tasty, with well matched herbs and spices. Our daughter had baked cod and... More

To be honest it didn't tick all my boxes. I thought the food was just okay. The asparagus starter with quail eggs was well presented but lacked something. The main course of roast lamb was seriously lacking flavour. I thought the restaurant lacked ambience, the service was attentive and friendly. Our waiter told us that they will soon redecorate so... This restaurant was recommended from a chief at a two star Michelin restaurant in Oslo who once worked here. What a great recommendation. Everything was tasty and well prepared. This has got to be one of the better restaurants in Trondheim. To Rom would be successful in any major city.

We have dined several times at To rom og kjokken, and never been disappointed. Carefully selected raw materials, very well prepared and accompanied with wines that heightens the meal. The manager Roar Hildonen have extensive knowledge of meat and wine, and are willing to share this knowledge if he is there.

We were a group of scientists going to this restaurant for dinner after a long day of research discussions. You immediately got an impression of a very favorable ambient. The service was excellent, the food superior, we had specially selected salmon and meat from a high altitude location called Røros. The owner of the restaurant came by to greet the... More

My daughter found this restaurant on one of the "foodie" sites she browses. We spoke with one of the ladies at our hotel reception desk and she said it was really good and we would enjoy it. Because of the time, she also called them and made a reservation for us. When we arrived - it was just a short... More

Focus on local food with local beer. Also does wine, and is among the few places in town with a less than embarrassing whisky selection. Friendly, casual and welcoming service. Anything with sea-buckthorn will be great.
