Very good food.

The food was very good and the service was very good as well. The sushi and other plates are nice but not overly fancy. The prices for the food was not bad for the area.

I tried this restaurant just now based on the positive reviews here, and ordered to go. Well my own experience was quite bad: 1. Pictures in the menu is misleading. Actuall quantity is a lot less. 2. I ordered tempara shrimp roll. When I got to hotel and opened it up, it was salmon roll. 3. I ordered a seafood... More

Welcome to the asylum! with its rough, concrete floor, reclaimed furniture and spartan interior you could realy belive you have entered an asylum. But that just ads to the experience. Here, the food is at stage and in focus. Pure sashimi, nigiri or elaborate signature maki rolls. All made with respect for the fresh produce. This is not a purist... More

I went for a quick dinner directly from work, so I was the only customer. The waitress was very nice and explained the menu and concept fast and precise. I ordered the Sticks and rolls menu for one. A bit expensive but worth evry krone. Beautiful scampi, chicken and pork on sticks, their signatur fried makiroll ( best on the... More

I've been eating here since they first opened and whilst the chefs and staff have changed, the quality and imagination of their dishes has not! If you're a sushi fan, this place will soon become one of your favourite restaurants. Whilst offering the more standard sushi and sashimi that you know and love, the chefs also love to get creative... More

Walked in on a Friday in April without a reservation and were seated immediately. Service was excellent. The command of english (as elsewhere in Norway) is embarrassingly good! We got the combo-deluxe for 2 which consisted of sushi, tempura and sticks. Some average bites but some really tasty morsels. We had chablis by the glass and sparking water. The waitress... More

Both the interior, service and food convinces here. A good selection of traditional sushi dishes and various tasty sticks with mainly grilled, small tastesensatio. But it is recommended to try the chef's more exciting experiments, both raw, cooked and fried. Tried a strong miso soup for a starter, which tasted exelent. Also try the different variations with sauces and dips.... More

Even if the resturant was full, we managed to get good service, the employees was both helpfull and observant. The food was also excellent , we will be back next time we visit Kristiansand

I've had both sushi and sticks at food asylum. The food is really good and the atmosphere is awesome.
