If you love to sit on the pier edge and eat and enjoy good seafoot, is Sjøhuset the restaurant you hav to visit in Kristiansand. About 5 minutts walkover from the cruise port.

At Sjøhuset, you will get great seafood of top quality! I highly recommend the mussels. The price is not too high, and the portions are not small.

THsi old salt storage offers brilliant location and interior for a restaurant. YOu cand watch the see and comings and goings of the little harbour while enjoying excellent food. Especially all fish cources were great, while meat more average. So really a place to eat fish.

Location and staff is very nice, the food however... This restaurant used to hold a high standard, now is more like a trailers truck stop. This is a nice place to take a beer and a fish soup for lunch and enjoy the beautiful view.

Summer on the terrace; is THE best place to be! Abosolutely wonderful location! The food is also very good, but this time the fish soup (that has been in lead for about 20 years) was a bit different. Tasted like something was missing and something else added - the result not as good as it use to be. Fish and... More

A must visit restaurant, traditional Norwegian fish recipes prepared and presented with care and attention. Excellent table service catering for both small and larger groups (2-18). Good selection of wines excellent and limited range of fish fresh and supplied daily.

I have fond childhood memories from this restaurant, which is still said to be the best for seafood in town. We had a three course meal, with a bottle of white wine (birthday). It cost €250! I was gobsmacked! The food was not up to standard by a long shot, the service was lousy (untrained staff for the summer season)... More
