Wonderful experience to remember!

This was one of the most expensive meals I have ever had and worth every cent. The menu is set and takes around 3 hours to complete. The wine selection were very good as well. If you love amazing food, this is a place to visit when in Oslo.

Not really sure where to begin, everything was so often beyond imagination... We had the set 19 courses of course (the only option), and the acompanying wine selection. I recommend you just go there and do the same!!

This is one of the best restaurants in town. The food is great, surprising and unique, service is fantastic and there's a very good selection of wines. Highly recommended

We visited the restaurant to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. The food and service was without a doubt among the best dining experience we have had and we are no strangers to Michelin restaurants. The only drawback is that they are closing the door in December so hurry up if you want to experience a wonderful restaurant. I have... More

The food is absolutely fabulous and very inventive. The service is professional and the waiters are very helpful. Quite expensive, but it's worth it. Recommended.

Many smaller but very interesting food experiences. Each dish has it's own story. All based around a famous old Norwegian book/story called Ylajali. Each part/chapter of the story has its own dish. A lot of curious and fun dishes. And of course amazing taste! You have to pay quite a lot, but its totally worth it. A dining experience you'll... More

This was one of my best restaurant experiences ever. The food here is excellent. The chefs does a great job composing the menu and pairing the dishes with wine. To bad it is closing in December 2015....

Ylajali has to be one of my - if not THE, favorite restaurants in Oslo. The food is amazing and surprising and leaves you wanting more. The service is attentive and friendly, but not intruding. I can't decide on a favorite course, but the langoustine and leek courses are amazing! Probably the best wine menu in Oslo! This was our... More

My wife and I have been lucky enough to eat at numerous Michelin starred restaurants in the UK, but Ylajali beats them all hands down. The concept, although highly pretentious, was very interesting, and I loved the whole theatre of getting the book to go through with every dish. The staff were excellent and really knew their stuff, but obviously... More
