We had mackerel and squab, beautifully presented, excellently prepared and almost worth the large tab. But this was the last day of our vacation, so, yes, it was worth the tab! The service was outstanding and the ambiance was classic Norwegian- a converted metal-works. Well worth seeking out, even at the price!

Fantastic food in a very special atmosphere - that's what you get here! I like to bring visitors here, to let them see what nordic cuisine really can do. Taste and high quality of the food and excellent service has it's price, but you knew that before ;)

Smia is a wonderful restaurant, out of Oslo center, but well worth the short extra journey. The food was fantastic, the atmosfere and service are relaxed and friendly, without the "showy" modern style of most restaurants in Oslo center. would highly recommend it both for special occasions and good evening with friends!

I was here with two friends. The surroundings is wonderful and there's changing pieces of art that can be bought. I took a risotto with house's white wine. The risotto was perfect and I could probably have eaten double more – it was soooo good. Also the service was friendly. Definitely a place I recommend and want to go back.... More

The restaurant gives you cosy and warm feelings, with Medieval-inspired decorations inside. The restaurant is also an art gallery. The food was excellent and my favourite dish was cheese plate with wine. The service was good and the staff was friendly and helpful.

If you're going to Oslo, and you consider yourself as a little feinschmecker, you should visit this little hidden pearl in the heart of Norway.

Went here with my parents in law and we had a great lunch. We had carpaccio and the traditional "fenalår", which is norwegian dry cured ham, with a mild potato salad, honey and rye bread biscuits. Simple, and delicicious. Service was good, and the location right below the Vålerenga church is just awesome. I'll definitly recommend this place

I privously had dinner at Snia and was very pleased. Now I tried the lunch. The food was very good, as the atmospheere. However I have to say that the portions were very small. I had a soup my husband had fish. Both delicious, but left the restaurant as hungry...
