An adventure in eating

First you have to figure out how to get the food here. First you claim some table space, as it is quite busy, then you ponder the menu on the wall and pick what you want and tell the guys behind the counter. As things are ready they put them on top of the counter and you have to be... read more

This is an amazing place with fine original Indian food. A very busy and relaxed place with self service (you order in something that looks like chaos, but they always find you where ever you will take a seat. Very good atmosphere and happy people. Cheap food and you find good Indian beer at reasonable prices. If King Fischer means... More

After hearing about this place for a long time I decided to check it out. The place actually looks Indian, reminded me of a typical Delhi restaurant. Quick and decent service, I was recommended the Chicken Tikka Curry, took a couple of minutes. Served with rice and naan this really is a bargain for 100 NOK in Oslo. When it... More

Spotted it in a city guide. Really very good. Service slightly terse however friendly enough. Vegetarian lunch (lentils etc, rice, salad, nan) and mango lassi came to NOK95. For Oslo this is a cheap lunch.

This restaurant though is quite affordable on the pocket is quite bad in hygiene, food quality and treatment of customers. During my last visit there with a couple of other, I order a couple of samosas. I soon realized they had already begun decaying for the stuffed potatoes in the samosa appeared with jelly like stuff, (a typical sign of... More

The place loved by Oslo locals for good quality indian food and cheap prices. The restaurant itself is very simple, but very authentic. Recommended!

We have been eating here every single Sunday for the last five years - this is our favorite place in Oslo. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and funny (although they may seem a little bit stressed and angry the first time you're there, but they're not, so no worries). The prices are very cheap, compared to the... More

The taste of the food is great. Value for money. Maybe crowded at times. We have been visiting this place for more than 2 years, but the taste and quality has not changed. Do not expect them to serve when it is crowded. Basically a self service restaurant .

Overall: 4 Other comments: located centrally at Grønland in Oslo, Indian fast food sit down version (and take-away) is a pleasant experience. Food is tasty and comes almost before you have a chance to sit down. Today's dish (dagens) including naan in just above the price of a naan in any other Indian joint. The place was packed when we came in. We ordered at the counter and found a (very small) table to sit. The chicken tandoori was made fast and it tasted very well. Had indian bread with it. Surprisingly inexpensive. Loved it!
