Wild decor. Decent food.

Nice location just off Karl Johans, in view of the Grand Hotel. The decor was WILD inside, very interesting and lots to keep you entertained. Food was decent -- do not order the smoked shrimp as you only get maybe ten VERY SMALL shrimp and it cost something like 180 NOK. Disappointed for sure. I... read more

Situated opposite the Grand Hotel in the main sq this place is a bit unusual in its decor and atmosphere as the walls are covered with artwork and busts and there's a DJ spinning tunes whilst afternoon tea is being served...there are two dining rooms which are extremely nice. The wine list is extensive,as well as a great selection of... More

Got a nice table at the window with indication, from what time on it will be reserved. Appreciated this very much, usually restaurants give you the worst table so they don't have to set the table again. Friendly service, excellent meal (confit de canard) and great atmosphere of the place.

I really enjoy my experience at Cafe Christiania in Oslo. I did order a fish soup and it was very well presented and delicious. The place looks touristy at first sight but is plenty of locals during lunch time. Informal ambience with a very different decor.

Never been disappointed going here. The meats are excellent. Especially the carpacio beef starter. A magnificent wine selection too. The decor is eccentric and a definate talking point.

Usually, Cafe Christiania is a good place for business lunches and dinners. It`s informal, the food is good and prices are reasonable. Had business dinner with foreign guest today, and I have to say the service was awful. A lazy waiter couldn`t care less about his guests. No bread on the table. Wouldn`t recommend any dishes to our foreign guest... More

Never again. The music was noisy and too loud. The Club Sandwich was the worst we ever tasted. Judging from this meal and what we saw served at the tables around us, we wonder if this restaurant does serve a desent meal at all. The waiters were very nice and polite. Not recommended.

Cafe Christiania was a great stop for dinner. Our waitress Nathalie was very helpful with dinner recommendations and some Norwegian phrases. We had the halibut with oxtail and beef bourgingon. Both were excellent and very tasty, especially the truffle potatoes. We were completely stuffed and happy after our meals. This is definitely a restaurant to try while in Oslo.

We went to this place after work. This is my 2nd time to visit this restaurant. The first time was a party where the host hold her PhD party. I was happy I decided to order their duck confit. It was very tender and tasted so good. My officemates ordered for burgers. They were also happy. I recommend this place... More

We came to the restaurant with no expectations... My first impression was not very positive, no one were there to greet you in the entrance. We had to look for the wardrobe, which was self serviced (...) Anyways, I managed to grab hold of a young lady who showed us the way to our table. The place was half empty... More
