Traditional afternoon tea.

We were a fairly large group of co-workers out for a pre-Christmas lunch. The place is very different. It is old school brasserie, and it is filled with old nick knack and memorabilia from the old days. We were seated at a long table and the waitress was very efficient, maybe to the extent... read more

Went in for dinner on a Friday evening on spec. The restaurant was fairly empty, but retained a nice atmosphere with relaxed music and lots of candlelight. Service was friendly and unobtrusive, the food was amazing. Simple food, full of flavour and very well cooked.

More of a restaurant rather than a cafe, we had dinner at this quirky little place opposite the Parliament Building. Service was kinda passive when we first walked in. Even though it was a little early for dinner and the restaurant is quite empty, no one approached us or greeted us when we walked in. Was unsure whether we should... More

Very nice Brasserie restaurant with extremely good food. The duck confit was superb and you should really try this. The environment in the room is very cozy and noise levels surprisingly good. Very perfect to be able to talk during dinner. The table next to the fireplace is just the most romantic dining table in Oslo. I am coming back... More

The brasserie is situated across the road from the Parliament. Its atmosphere is rather nice, but the food proved to be a disappointment.

We booked Café Christiania after having looked in over previous days and seen how busy it was. And a good thing we did too especially in the Christmas run-up. The restaurant is very much done in the style of a French brasserie and serves up a cuisine to match. The food is pretty good quality and served in healthy but... More

Cafe Chrisiania is located in the centre of Oslo and has a pleasant quiet atmosphere. The staff serving you (all Swedish) were all helpful and made the visit pleasent. The fish soup was excellent

We enjoyed a good Cesar salad and a good fish soup, rich with fish and mussels and other good stuff. The open space in this old building and the view over the parliament is just stunning.

Ok food, BUT had to wait 2 hours for the main course. Had to ask for whine menu, and had to ask one more time to order whine. On top of that they charged per dish instead of the menu we ordered when we booked, which meant a more expensive dinner. Not by much, but still, it is the principe... More

A traditional restaurant set right in the heart of the city close to parliament. Really buzzing with locals, traditional and quirky interior, reminiscent of an 1850's cafe. Food excellent and leisurely service make this an ideal spot for a relaxed dinner.
