Alex Sushi in Solli Plass square in Oslo is one of the city's finer sushi restaurants. The interior is modern and stylish with an open kitchen area where guests sit around an oval table, watching the mastery of the sushi chefs at work. The menu includes a fascinating number of ingredients, with some exotic highlights for the more adventurous. The service is relaxed, knowledgeable and friendly. An excellent wine list complements the food, with vintage varieties mainly from France and Italy.

Cool sushi place where you can select the fish you will eat.

This is a classic Oslo sushi restaurant, and you can probably find better articles about it online. I think it was once voted "the best sushi place outside of Tokyo". It´s rather expensive, so for most people it is for special occasions. Or business meetings.

I was celebrating my birthday here, so I had booked a big table in advance. The menu was breath taking (at least compared with other sushi places in Oslo), so I suggest you get a menu in advance and send it to all attending – at least if you’re a group bigger than 4-5. Otherwise it take ages to order.... More

When we brought a group of friends to "Alex Sushi Soli plass" last June a number of them didn´t eat sushi. Obviously they serve excellent sushi but a restaurant serving inedible chicken to 7 people and charging an arm and a leg for it is not on!! If you don´t manage to get a table there, their take away is... More

This is the best sushi in town. Delicious, and you can watch the chef work in the middle of the restaurant if you like. They have menues put toghether in different price ranges, and these come presented on big serving dishes, put beautifully together. Really a good choice if you are more people going out to eat sushi. It's also... More

Having looked at the tripadvisor comments and feeling like having sushi I went there and gave it a try. Verdict: Absolutely recommendable and delicious. I may as well could be in Japan I reckon. +Food quality +Service quality -Tables and chairs don't bring much ambiance. Chairs at the centre around the sushi chef are very close to each other.

A place I would absolutely recommend. I guess this location is the smaller version of the original but it is still great. Had lunch here and was very happy with the quality and taste of the Sushi. Try the Tempura Salad. It is delicious.

The sushi here is the best there is. So fresh, so tasty and just like you want it. The service is great and the restaurant is really fresh, modern and inviting.

The food at Alex Sushi is amazing!! After you have eaten sushi here it is not really possible to eat sushi anywhere else in Oslo, since everything would taste bland and seem boring in comparison.... it's an expensive restaurant, but the quality of the food justifies the price by far. It is worth it to pay a bit extra to... More
