Delicatessen Grunerlokka serves Spanish tapas made from a combination of Norwegian and Spanish ingredients. We pride ourselves on using the best ingredients available. I.E. All of our fried food is fried in Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Montabes in Jaen, Andalucia. The Montabes oils are known for their high level of antioxidants and actually adds flavor and nutrients to the food. This is an expensive way to fry food but only the best is good enough for us. All of our hams come from specially selected producers. Our main supplier of hams is Casalba in Burgos. At Casalba knowledge of how to make the finest hams, chorizo etc has been passed down for several generations. We are proud to be able to offer their world class products to our customers. We aim to create a relaxing atmosphere with great food combined with the best tintos, blancos and rosados Spain can offer.

Good Variety and Quality

When I think of Scandanavian food, my first association is not Mediterranean Tapas. Nonetheless, my wife and I shared an assortment of dishes and were satisfied with everything. The mussels, chicken drumsticks, and chorizo were all excellent.

Simply the best Spanish tapas in town. It is always crowded here, and it's not possible to book a table. Make sure to get there early and enjoy a drink and the buzzing atmosphere whilst you wait for a table. It's definitely worth the wait as their tapas is the best in town!

This is the best tapas I've eaten in my life. You have to order the scampi, the chorizo and drink mojito. But everything I've eaten there is very good! I can also recomend drinking the sangria. Me and my partner always get dissapointed eating tapas when we try other places and always dream about delicatessen in Oslo!

My friend who is a local advised to go to this tapas place for dinner. I have been craving tapas for quite some time. I am really glad he introduced me to this great place. The menu was in Norwegian but, of course, I had my friend to translate but the waiter was extremely helpful that he just decided to... More

We had a great time in this bar. Had some fun with bartender and a chef choosing something to eat by finger, because the menu is only on Norwegian, but it is not a problem at all. All food was tasty, especially potato omelet and meat balls:) Thank you guys for all the fun, you made our evening in Oslo

This was definitively a local hot spot! They must not get many tourists because there was no English on the menu and our server had difficulty describing the dishes to us. We waited 45 min for a table and were super hungry. The drink menu looked intriguing, but we didn't order any cocktails because we were on a budget and... More

The food was very good, the atmosphere was nice, and it was not unreasonably priced for Oslo. There is no English-language menu but we could figure out most of the dishes based on their Spanish names, and the servers helped with our questions and recommended beverages when we asked. There is a mini-golf place just across the road which is... More

These folks were so nice to us. After walking a very brisk 10 min to get to this place specifically, we found out they had already taken last call and closed the kitchen. After lamenting that two review sites post much later closing hours, they graciously offered us one drink--on the promise not to take too long. They did all... More

We had a late dinner here one evening so there was no wait although I have read it can be busy. The tapas is good, although the menu somewhat more limited than what you see in many tapas places in Spain. Portions were what you would expect- some even quite generous (such as the potatoes). The prices were reasonable, especially... More

I keep going to Spain and try the different tapas and restaurants but it is not as great as this place. One of my regular places when dining out. The quality of the food and service is excellent.
