Pay a visit to Xích Lô (pron. cyklo) for a taste from a little Further East. This is a unique treasure of a Vietnamese restaurant, now occupying new premises on Karl Johans gate 23 B on the first floor of the new department store in Egertorget square. Delicately exotic with light and airy interior and a mouth-watering menu where the food is reasonably priced and completely authentic. Aromatic and spicy without being too hot, the dishes are served as small pieces of art on the plate. Enjoy your trip Further East!

Nice food, but confusing service

I invited three relatives for dinner and had booked a nicely situated table. The electronic menu was strangely to use and somewhat superfluos and impersonal as the waiter still had to write down what we ordered individually. Then a wine waitor recommended wine for the various main courses. We had... read more

The food is excellent. I had mixed seafood baked in the ovn, and it tasted really good. If I should complain about something, I thought it was a bit noisy.

The food was tasty and well displayed, but the matching deluxe wine menu picked by their French sommelier was exquisite! The choices of wine was both interesting, bold and.... Delicious! Well done!!

Been here also earlier with business group and ended again as they're responsive and easily accommodating. Food and atmosphere is good. Sommelier is French and absolutely passionate with his wines. You get a story behind every wine and excellent presentation on top. Meal cost is reasonable in Oslo standards. Most likely returning here again

I've been to this restaurant a few times recently and what a fantastic meal every time, always have spring rolls to start and then the sea bass and on every occasion the meal was fantastic and the Saigon beer was also very good. The staff are very pleasant, very helpful and always polite so will keep coming back.

I like the food there, but it does not seem exactly like Vietnamese food. Its more fusion tasting with Asian flavors. The ingredients are all fresh and good and the dishes are tasty.

Delicious, traditional Vietnamese food, OK service. Warm-heartedly recommended. Little bit expensive, but worth the money. Recommend trying duck breast.

The only Vietnamese in Oslo worth trying as far as I know. Eat lunch here alle the time, as it lies inside Oslos best shoppingcenter. Great good, ok service.

Good food. Fast delivery. Clean enviroment, and good service. A bit expensive, but enough food on the plate.
