Description: Pay a visit to Xích Lô (pron. cyklo) for a taste from a little Further East. This is a unique treasure of a Vietnamese restaurant, now occupying new premises on Karl Johans gate 23 B on the first floor of the new department store in Egertorget square. Delicately exotic with light and airy interior and a mouth-watering menu where the food is reasonably priced and completely authentic. Aromatic and spicy without being too hot, the dishes are served as small pieces of art on the plate. Enjoy your trip Further East!

My friend and I were celebrating my last night in Oslo and as she had eaten there before, felt we would enjoy this! The menu was fun and interesting to read - from a set menu suggestion, to unusual and varied selections in meats, seafood and vegetarian offerings - I enjoyed just perusing as we sipped a lovely bit of... One of the best restaurants in Oslo, placed on the top of Eger shoppingsenter, which gives you unique view on the Prarliament building. I love the fusion of french and asian kitchen. Best duck in town. Light, elegant, fragrant and innovative. The restaurant is easily accessible by public transport, otherwise very central for tourist who chose to stay in the heart... More

Located in the city center and serves really great Asian food. The only drawback is that you have to enter from a shopping center, which to take some of its exclusive feel from the experience. However, when you enter the restaurant it is all forgotten. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a modern feel to it. The food and service... More

This restaurant is unfortunately "hidden" away inside a high-end shopping centre, but well worth finding. We were 2 couples having 2 hours before a theatre show and they managed to serve us 3 courses in a relaxed manner. First a taster, then 36small tasters served as 2 first courses, finishing off with a main. Good value and great tastes. Maybe... More

I was taken to this place by a friend who had heard about it by collegues. This is usually a sign of quality, so maybe my expectations were too high. The food was OK, has had better asian food before, and the restaurant itself could have improvement on better lighting and colours/decoration. Reluctant to return.

Very tasteful food. Ordered venison with sweet potato. When I got back to the hotel I was disappointed to see that there was rice in stead of the sweet potato.

I chose the seven course tasting menu, accompanied by the exclusive wine menu. That was i good choose indeed. One of the wines was so good, a bourgugne, that I went straight home and ordered it from Vinmonopolet. Some of the starters came on trays with two or three tastings in each. The duck breast was cooked to perferfection, and... More

Ate here with a friend for dinner on a Saturday evening and it was packed, we were very lucky to get the last available table for two. The restaurant has a great ambience / atmosphere and the service was first class from start to finish. The menu is relatively simple with just 7 starters, 11 mains and 6 deserts to... More

Very nice restaurant, with quality food and atmosphere. We dined at 9:30 PM, a somewhat late hour for Norway. We ordered the Okse Indrefilet, Chiken Satay and they were very well done and with nice portions.Service was attentive and the price was reasonable. The restaurant is inside a small shopping center, on the 3rd floor.
