I'm not a huge fan of French food but it was a friends birthday and I enjoy trying new restaurants in Oslo. Restaurant is decorated very pleasing. Comfortable area for dining (which is nice for Oslo). We started with the beef tartar. It was very good, although I have nothing to compare it to. We got the large portion and... More

We were welcomed by a polite butler that took our coats, and seated us a a nice table. The atmosphere here is lovely! It feels like you are sitting in a restaurant in Paris. The waiters are all very professional, but still keeping a personal touch, and a good tone with the guests. The food was also great, and the... More

I've been here for more then a couple times, always for coffee and the plate of mignardises (like a pastry tasting), and I feel disappointed. The location is great, the service is good as the coffee is. but the mignardises are just average. I expected more being in a french restaurant having all the typical french desserts and not finnish... More

Two years since, and the world has moved on, except Brasserie France. The place serves solid food delivered by cocky waiters, very much French style..... But - the (wild!?) halibut was on the dry side and the lamb was a bit bland. This restaurant should try harder.

One of the very few French style brasseries in Oslo with tables along the mirrored walls, view to kitchen in one end of the room and the street in the other. The service was excellent - attentive and professionally friendly - the food was great and the atmosphere lively. The oysters were excellent, the butter fried sole good (perhaps a... More

Delightful atmosphere and excellent food. Ate some very delicious duck and had one of the largest dessert platters I have been served in my life.

We've eaten here several times and we love it. It's become quite popular in oslo so you need a reservation especially on the weekend. It's a typical brasserie with tables down both sides. The food is great, and the service is excellent. They have a fixed priced and ala carte menu. The real treat is the dessert trolley. THey roll... More

This cost a lot but this is Norway, so don't believe the £20 price tag that I see here. A generous 3 course meal with wine and an aperatif was £100 a head, but it was a delight. We sat on the pavement, southern European style and were served with grace and charm as well as good food. The scallops... More

After trying some times the Norwegian food, I decided to test this French Brasserie. I must say it was worth to dine there, since everything was in accordance with my expectations, apart from the price. But one must never forget that Oslo is among the most expensive cities in the world..
