This cost a lot but this is Norway, so don't believe the £20 price tag that I see here. A generous 3 course meal with wine and an aperatif was £100 a head, but it was a delight. We sat on the pavement, southern European style and were served with grace and charm as well as good food. The scallops... More

After trying some times the Norwegian food, I decided to test this French Brasserie. I must say it was worth to dine there, since everything was in accordance with my expectations, apart from the price. But one must never forget that Oslo is among the most expensive cities in the world..

Really great "french brasserie" ambiance, with delicious food, good service and an "eat as much as you want" desert trolley which I would absolutely recommend! Just off Karl Johans Gate, right by Stortinget metro station (30 seconds from the Egertorvet exit, so bang in the centre. Very good bottled beer, but watch out for the price - 110nok for a... More

One of my favourite restuarants in Oslo. Excellent food and service. Missing Confit the Canard on the meny at last visit. Missing Eira sparkling water.

I had dinner at Brasserie France with a colleague, and it turned out to be a good choice. Authentic French food, informal atmosphere, attentive service. We skipped the appetizers and went straight to the main course. I enjoyed my chicken confit, and he his entrecôte. The wine was also surprisingly good. I had the crème brûlée for dessert, but opted... More

Probably my favourite resto in Oslo. Great atmosphere and excellent food. As a bonus you'll be served by a staff who takes a genuine pride in their work. Don't miss out on the small portion of Moules marinières as a starter.
