Was invited by a client. They are serving french cuisine and also some Norwegian specialties which i had too try.... Mostly full every day so a good choice if you are in the center. Little noisy like a brasserie. Good service.

The staff who greeted us were very gave us a warm welcome. The environment is lovely and the menu inviting. I have eaten here many times and usually been very satisfied. But on this occasion the entrecôte was not very tasteful. The meat was really tough. The female waiter was not very professional, either. Just said that that was the... More

Professional, upmarket French restaurant (too upmarket to be a brasserie in France). Professional staff. Varied, interesting menu - quite a few things that I wanted to try. The menu changes regularly. Some fixed price options, though these are not cheap. 3 courses + wine & coffee = 800 NOK for 2. Will go again. (Indeed, already have with the same... More

Brasserie France is the safe choice if you want to dine in Oslo. I have been there several times, and the service is always on top level. Same applies for the choice of wines and for the food itself. I have never been disappointed. One item that is fixed on the menue, is the dessert cartridge, which gives you the... More

I had planned to have dinner at Brasserie Blanche, but they were closed on Monday night, and so I ate here at Brasserie France instead. The food here is simpler than Brasserie Blanche, but just as good. Desserts are especially good !

You think this is a typical tourist place, but this is a treasure next too all the tourist places. Here they have good French food, good wine and wonderful service. Try to get a table on ground floor, is the best.

I'm not a huge fan of French food but it was a friends birthday and I enjoy trying new restaurants in Oslo. Restaurant is decorated very pleasing. Comfortable area for dining (which is nice for Oslo). We started with the beef tartar. It was very good, although I have nothing to compare it to. We got the large portion and... More

We were welcomed by a polite butler that took our coats, and seated us a a nice table. The atmosphere here is lovely! It feels like you are sitting in a restaurant in Paris. The waiters are all very professional, but still keeping a personal touch, and a good tone with the guests. The food was also great, and the... More

I've been here for more then a couple times, always for coffee and the plate of mignardises (like a pastry tasting), and I feel disappointed. The location is great, the service is good as the coffee is. but the mignardises are just average. I expected more being in a french restaurant having all the typical french desserts and not finnish... More

Two years since, and the world has moved on, except Brasserie France. The place serves solid food delivered by cocky waiters, very much French style..... But - the (wild!?) halibut was on the dry side and the lamb was a bit bland. This restaurant should try harder.
