Stuck in Oslo, dreaming of Paris? Eat your heart out here. With a giant shell fish platter, the dessert trolley and a glass of chilly chablis, you won't be able to tell the difference.

Brasserie France is as close you can get to a French bistro in Norway you can get. The interior, the food, the wines, the service, everything is so French it can be. When I miss Paris, I eat at Brasserie France. It's fun, the service is excellent, the food delicious, and the wines gorgeous. It's expensive all right, but all... More

Nice restaurant, able to accommodate us on a Saturday night with no reservation. The foie gras was delicious as was the escargot. Definitely a great find in the Oslo Centrum.

Authentic French restaurant. Nice for both couples and business. We sat on the first floor, the tables were close, just like in France. The food was very good, the service too.

I was wary of the reviews that cited poor service, but I did not find this to be the case. Perhaps due to low traffic on a Monday evening. I found both the service android to be quite good and would recommend that this restaurant is not one to be missed.

We often go here for a Saturday lunch with oysters, escargot and a glass or two of wine. The oysters are fresh and tasty and their mussels simply excellent. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable if not always attentive and quick. Brasserie France is located in the middle of the shopping district in Oslo, thus within walking distance to “everything”.... We joined some French friends for lunch here. The Maitre'd was very welcoming and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. I got the lunch special, a perfectly cooked beef tenderloin and reduced wine sauce with broccoli and pureed potatoes. My husband got the steak tartare and he thought it was very good and fresh. My meal came with apple... More

This restaurant serves excellent French food and the hospitality is second to none. I would recommend this to anyone entertaining for business as it really does play the part from the minute they take your coat. You may get surprise on your bill of 25% VAT so be aware...

We arrived here by chance having failed to find two other restautants on our "Gourmet Highlights of Oslo" map! As it was we were all three very impressed with the range of meals available, and the quality of the food. The house red wine was also very good. As for price, nothing in Oslo is cheap, but this restaurant was... More
