Cheap ok chinese lunch

Cheapest lunch ever in Norway in a restaurant. Good enough stri fry beef with veggies, spring roll, rice and coffee for less than 100NOK? Amazing. Owner was not rude to me as others have mentioned. Wasnt expecting much for chinese food in Norway but a definite PASS.

A restaurant in the most visited street in Oslo should serve good food. Their dishes are OK but not the best one in the city. If you´re going to compare the taste with the price I´d say, its not worth it.

Jambo is slap bang in the middle of the high street and appears to be part of some sort of shopping arcade. It's situated upstairs and isn't very well signed so blink and you'll miss it! Can't remember if there's a lift so might not be the best place for wheelchair or pram users as we had to climb a... More

From the outside this looked like a nice Chinese restaurant. The interior is very nice and it is located right in the tourist district. When the waiter came over he seemed to be bored with his job and as we were telling him what our meal choices were he kept interrupting and saying ya ya ya ya ya. It was... More

As a tour leader, I have to keep on coming back here. Only reason is its location. The food is just plain and some of the soup dishes are worse than instant noodles. Adding insults to injuries, the bald owner is just rude and has no manners. Unless, you are just have to put something hot in the stomach. This... More

I was a bit apprehensive before we ate at Jambo due to the previous reviews on the Tripadvisor site. However we had no issues - the food was tasty , wide variety of choices and the staff were polite and helped with Dad's mobility scooter.

So firstly let's understand that nowhere in Oslo is good value for money: The place is ridiculously expensive - especially if you want to drink alcohol. So once you get that out of the way, and just look at the quality of the food you can see that it is very average indeed. My chicken with garlic and noodles could... More

As a tour leader I expect when I come with a group of 25 persons (prebooked) that we are welcome in the Restaurant. This is the worse experience I ever have had. Unpleasant staff and simple food. In Oslo we have lots of nice Asian restaurants with nice staff, good food and reasonable prices. Stay away from this one!!!

I love Chinese food, and I mostly go for Asian food when traveling. This was some of the worst restaurant food I have ever been served. Ordered from the sea food menu. Got it in less than five minutes (microwaved?), sauce and vegetables didn't have ANY taste. The seafood ingredient tasted so old it was un-eatable. I had to shove... More

The manager took our order, making fun of me when I asked about the ingredients in the Chicken Soup. My friends got some very dull and tasteless noodles and my chickensoup had the consistency og slime. The chicken looked slightly dessolved, like it had been laying in the soup for days. I sent it back and the manager came back... More
