A fish mongery with a licence to serve. Nice in summer outside at the large Youngstorget. Some nice price dishes among them the "famous fish-and-chips" mussels-soup and fresh shrimps followed by a cold beer or a white wine.

I gotta say!! i have this strange urge when it comes to seafood. and eating in a fish market makes me wanna eat even more. the very fresh oysters are to die for but i prefer raw oysters! not to mention the fish and chips is to die for and it is the best i had in Oslo! me and... More

This place has limited spaces, less than 20. We were lucky to get a table. The meal was exactly how it should be! Perfect fish and chips, and in super combination with onion, sauce and pickles. They also have Bacalao which is said to be good.

Every time I tried to try the food the small fish market/restaurant combination it was crowded and the staff didn't have the time to assist anyone who needed help and because I don't speak Norwegian so I wasn't able to squeeze in/get attention of the staff. Maybe next time

Everyone talks about the fish and chips here and I don't deny the fish and chips are really really good but don't forget to try their fish cakes as well. We saw many locals ordering them to take away and were curious to try. Sure glad we did! Service was pretty good as well.

We found Fiskeriet totally by accident as it was our first day in Oslo and we wanted to grab a quick lunch. Fiskeriet was directly behind our hotel so it seemed a logical place to grab lunch. We were drawn in by all the fresh fish in the window. Fiskeriet is both an active fish monger and a small restaurant.... More

This is definitely our favourite place for eating out in Oslo for a number of reasons: a) fresh fish and seafood nicely seasoned and cooked (a bit salty, but what can you do...), b) fresh fish and seafood to buy if you live here or have access to a kitchen, c) rather average prices for Oslo -around 160 NOK- but... Excellent food. The fish cakes were wonderful and a good value. Fish and Chips was also great. Very casual setting with quality food. If you want to save some money, order the food to take out and enjoy your meal on a nearby park bench. You will save about 40% off eating in the restaurant (at least on fish and... More

I was really looking forward to eating here when I arrived in Oslo. I was not disappointed. I went with a couple of people and collectively we had the fish and chips, the fish soup and the muscles with beer and chorizo. We shared all three dishes and they were all fantastic. Regarding the fish and chips, the fish was... More

Being a Brit who has lived in Norway for over 10 years, I crave fish and chips now and again. I'd heard about Fiskeriet from others and decided to try it out. We visited in August 2014 and the overall experience was good. The food tasted good and the service was also good. Two downsides: 1) the seating.....it's not very... More
