I had a nice dinner at Le Benjamin last Friday. Very good 5 course menu with Scallops-Crab-Redfish and Lam. Only 1 minus some of the dishes could be little warmer. Dessert was nice chocolate with berries. Service was good. Restaurant was full of guest.

Been here many times, they have better food by far, then the neighbour Delicatessen (the tapas there is labored, lacking in balance, taste and cohesion). Relaxed ambiance, very comfortable seating and professional kind service, apart from some hick ups with a younger male waiter who could not for his life figure out how to split a bill. Delightful setting by... More

Both the staff and another customer at Statholdergaarden recommended this restaurant--and a good thing they did. It was a wonderful meal. The mushroom flambe was scrumptious, and served as a thin crust pizza. Very tasty. It was hard to eat slow. My pork skewers were delicious--with pork ribs, heart and side loin (yeah that's bacon) in a thin, somewhat fruity... More

French bistrot in down town Oslo, serves traditional french bistro food with a modern twist. the best waiters in Oslo, very attentive and professional service. the crepes suzettes are made at the table, great show. For those hwo like french cheeses they apparently have a big selection.

Once again Le Benjamin delivers. They seem to get better for every time we are there. I don't hesitate to call it Oslo's best restaurant.

We have been back several times and keep coming back for more. The menus vary throughout the year and consist of an interesting range of dishes, inspired by seasonal fruits, vegetables, meats and fish. At the same time they manage to maintain high quality dining and a classic profile. Remember to book a table as it gets busy at weekends... More

Many restaurants claim to have a French kitchen. This one actually does. Pricey, as Oslo is, but well worth it. A good wine list, great menu, and attentive waiters. Book table in advance!

Lovely local bistro a short way out of the city centre, it's by the river & next to a tram line (5 minutes from the centre). Friendly service, the duck & steak are both first rate. Pricewise its not bad for Oslo.

Lucky enough to be Airbnb'ing in the 'hood so stumbled on this restaurant before reading the TA reviews. Benjamin is a straightforward bistro. I ordered the Mussels (135) as appetizer - very good but not quite Belgium. For Mains I had the whole Seabass (265) which was just amazing, with a side of Spring potato - a very enjoyable carb... From the oysters and champagne to the rhubarb macaron, and everything in between, this was a top-notch dining experience. And, on Oslo terms, quite reasonable. Can't imagine being disappointed here!
