Went here exclusively for the Côte de Boeuf. I have always dreamt of a Norwegian restaurant that manage to push steak to the next level. Reviews and marketing looked promising, except for a few bad remarks here and there. I was a bit skeptical after reading the negative reviews, but tok a chance anyways. Outstanding, very tender beef, also slow-cooked lamb and grilled fish. They are happy to place a magnum bottle of wine on the table, and charge you by the centimeters you consume (!) A young, informal atmosphere

Nice place for informal occasions when you are looking for an extraordinary experience in food and wine. Leave as much as you dare in the hands of the staff and you will not be disappointed. And don't be fooled by the look of the manager - he is one of the more experienced and knowledgeable in Oslo when it comes... More

Easy to find the resturant at right by the Bislett stadium. The food was excelent. We were a team of friends, and covered most of the menu. Everyone was very satisfied with the food. A little dark by the table, but the tables was equipped with a flashlight to make it easy to read the menu. Only negative was that... More

Dinner here on Sat 11th April 2015. Waiter suggested "entecote" that has been stored or hanged for 4 weeks. Sounded good so went for that. Got it and looked ok, but after tasting discovered that it was burned on one side. Called waiter to let him know but was advised that this was how they did it there. He was... More

It is not easy to get a good steak in Norway, but the côte de bœuf at St. Lars is simply excellent. The chef prepares it for two people in one piece. Charred on the outside and juicy, tender and full of taste inside, the competent waiter carved it at the table. It came with a home made bearnaise and... More

Went to this with colleagues in March 2015. The 36 hours onion soup was great and the slow-cooked meat was fantastic. Great bistro with a home made feeling. Honest and tasty food. Service was good and not extraordinary. Recommend this restaurant.

Had the most tender lamb I've ever had! It was a true delight. Served with amazing mashed potatoes and vegetables. The waiters was really nice as well and gave us the best service. Good wine tips and explanations. We also had the cod which was just as good. Perfectly cooked and really good sides and sauce. Would recommend this restaurant... More

This is an informal place rocked with extremely high quality and deliver hundred percent. Good traditional food served in a relatively straightforward manner with the little extra. This is clearly a place I recommend visiting Oslo. It is located at Bislett who is also a great area of town for a drink afterwards. very good service. Order table
