Tasty food

Went to this with colleagues in March 2015. The 36 hours onion soup was great and the slow-cooked meat was fantastic. Great bistro with a home made feeling. Honest and tasty food. Service was good and not extraordinary. Recommend this restaurant.

Had the most tender lamb I've ever had! It was a true delight. Served with amazing mashed potatoes and vegetables. The waiters was really nice as well and gave us the best service. Good wine tips and explanations. We also had the cod which was just as good. Perfectly cooked and really good sides and sauce. Would recommend this restaurant... More

This is an informal place rocked with extremely high quality and deliver hundred percent. Good traditional food served in a relatively straightforward manner with the little extra. This is clearly a place I recommend visiting Oslo. It is located at Bislett who is also a great area of town for a drink afterwards. very good service. Order table

In early Februray I had dinner at St. Lars, a noted restaurant in mid-town Oslo that specializes in meat dishes. Price-wise it is slightly above average, but it offers real value for your money. Best dishes of the evening (I dined with two others, so my description covers what all 3 of us ate) were the lamb and the tart... More

After a period with mixed cru and quality lower than expected St Lars is fore sure back in business with Anders Lundby and his team working hard both on kitchen and in the restaurant just for YOU with attention to EACH guest with a quality for sure meeting my expectations. The understanding of Beer and Wine as a combination to... More

I went to this restaurant with a friend of mine. We are both food enthusiast, and my friend is a wine expert. Both of us have wanted to go to this restaurant since it opened, and finally it happened and we had some expectation to this restaurant. The service was excellent and impeccable! Our main waiter, Anders, had very good... More

Came to this rustic grill restaurant with family to celebrate my birthday. A very positive review in Aftenposten, 26 out of 30 points, gave the impression that after a slack period the kitchen had now reached former excellence. That was not what we experienced. We were 4 people who chose their menu no 1 which consisted of meagre lobster with... More

The atmosphere in this quite small restaurant is nice and cosy, with lots and lots of pictures related to food, books, empty crystal bottles, dark interior and a huge mirror with the text; "Butter is thicker than blood." And you do get generous amounts of butter in your food at St. Lars. We had grilled crayfish with herb butter, côte... More

Rustic food and a friendly, casual and relaxed athmosphere. They arranged a special dinner for our group of 15 people in a generous and professional way. I can recommend them.
