Description: ICEBAR OSLO by ICEHOTEL is the third ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL in the world and the first in Norway. The ICEBAR offers a unique bar experience in one of Oslo's most exotic venues. The ICEBAR itself is built from 50 tonnes of natural frozen Torne river ice - giving guests a glimpse into the enchanting world of arctic winter in an urban setting. The bar has a warm and a cold section, and the menu includes the best of Norwegian and Nordic ingredients. Visits to the cold part of ICEBAR OSLO start on the hour during the bar's opening times. Entry is valid for 45 minutes and includes an ice drink served in an ice glass and an arctic cape to keep you warm. Events ICEBAR OSLO can offer everything from simple get-togethers with drinks to private parties with blocks of ice featuring the company logo. In cooperation with Thon Hotels, ICEBAR OSLO offers events in combination with conferences at one of the Thon Hotels.

Very interesting place, must be seen. Very cold inside so you can not be there longer than 30 minutes. But place for visit when you arrive to Oslo.

Had seen a documentary on the Ice Hotel before so we decided to visit this Ice Bar since it was so close to our hotel. It is marvelous what they do with ice from the big sculptures to the seats, walls and drinking glasses. We reserved online to save 10Kr each versus a walking in price of 160Kr, the reservation... Very touristy and a little like an amusement park ride but worth it for the experience and pictures. The drinks aren't great and you are ushered in and out but still...worth it.

We went to the Oslo Ice Bar with a whole group of people from the Azamara Quest when docked in Oslo overnight. None of us had ever been and seemed like we should give it a go. Norway seemed appropriate (rather than some city in the US). They were very accommodating since we arrived earlier than scheduled and therefore it... More

It is sort of cool. The bar, glassed, and chairs are made of ice. But the walls are ice in front of metal, and don't look at all like the walls of a real ice hotel. The floor is metal, and the ceiling is the sort of drop ceiling on a metal grid that you get in lower-end offices. Some... More

I read about this ice bar before embarking on a Scandinavian cruise, and heard it was a better value than one offered in a different country through the cruise line. Although it was about $27 USD per person, it was well worth it for the adventure and photo opportunities. While we could have made an online reservation in advance and... More

A nice way to spend 45 minutes with friends. Yet, this is a relatively small bar with limited space, hence you may need to queue or wait for your time slot. Still a pleasant way to spend an evening.

What a unique experience.  We pre-purchased our entry and drink tickets ahead of time at the tourist office.  The Icebar is a few blocks walk from city hall.  First you enter the gift store and sitting area of the Icebar.  Entry into the actual Icebar is on the hour.  Just before you go in you put on a thermo cape...
