Nice experiencee

My wife and I had booked a three course dinner on a thursday evening. We took a taxi up as there is no other transportation available on a week-day in the winter. The atmosphere is unique, the view is amazing and the food extra ordinary. Recommend this as a true, Norwegian experience, with nice staff and such a cosy but delicate place to dine - but oh, expensive.

The food and service was really good and to top it off, the view is probably one of the best in the city. The interiors is very charming and the food is spectacular.

If you don't have 2000 kroner to spare per person but love amazing food and wine then save up, rob a bank or sell a kidney to go. 5 course menu with paired wines is unforgettable. As once in a lifetime treat.

First things first: you will starve as a vegetarian. You would think, a restaurant with Michelin stars would be exceptional in every way - this is not the case with Grefenskollen restaurant. As long as the kitchen serves norwegian food, vegetarians (or even worse: vegans) will sit with nothing else than garnishes. My employer organises regularly our christmas party there.... More

We ate at the Grefsenkollen with a party of colleagues on the Nation Day of Norway in May. The restaurant and the surroundings could not have been better for a summery warm May evening. Located on small fisher island, we were transported there with a boat. The magnificent achipelago is right there by the restaurant. The food was very good... More
