We had an amazing dinner here last Saturday. Everything about it had the "wow" factor. The menu is extensive (and expensive, but everywhere in Oslo is!) and it was hard to choose - we went for Caprese salad and asparagus wrapped in bacon with a gorgonzola sauce for our starters. Amazingly high quality mozzarella and tomatoes and the asparagus was... More

Our last meal in Oslo. Just up the block from the National Theater. All Italian staff. Good food and extensive wine list. My daughters lamb dish had to be sent back ad it was blood rare then came back a little tough. They charge 15nok for extra bread. Do not accept American Express. Meal for 4, including drinks, was 250usd.... More

This is the second time I visit Rufino and like last time, the overall experience is good. From they welcome you in the door to they wish you a nice evening when you go, they take care of you in a perfect way. The food is good I ate Spaghetti Ruffino (Spaghetti with seafood, concasse of tomatoes, white wine, garlic... More

We love Italy and we love Italian food. Imagine our great surprise upon discovering Ruffino here in the middle of Oslo. This was truly an Italian experience: informal in a formal way, professional yet friendly. The menu is extensive. Recommendations were pleasantly explained and wine recommendations were right on target. After dining a full-course meal, we can only say, -Bravi!... More

Great selection of Italian wines and very good food. You notice that they take big pride in what they serve amd how they serve it.

Went to the restaurant after a show. Table was ready when we arrived. Great service, huge wine list. We only had the main course. Tried one of the home made pasta with beef. It was great, will return to try more of this homemade Italian food.

Just returned from Oslo and based on their #2 restaurant rating, we went. It was good but didn't think it was great. My pasta in a mushroom sauce was dry. Maybe too much Parmesan on it? And charging for extra bread ? Nowhere else in Norway did that. The staff was very friendly.

We ate here on our first night in Oslo. The food was good with generous portions and the atmosphere lively. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. It is situated near the Royal Palace which was a walking distance from our hotel. It might be a good idea to book if you want to eat on a Saturday night.

We loved Ruffino. It's small and pleasant. We were greeted by the owner, and our friendly, helpful waiter was his son (his daughter also was working, and stopped by laughing and helping us). The service and food is top notch. I love how they added a Norwegian touch to Italian dishes (touches that compliment and enhance the dishes, like extra... More
