Welcome to Brasserie Blanche!
Restaurant Brasserie Blanche is an informal restaurant located between the Royal Palace and Majorstuen, an established area for nightlife and shopping in Oslo. Our speciality is French classic cuisine, combined with exciting dishes of seasonal ingredients.

Inspiration for life at Brasserie Blanche comes from the best brasseries in France. The combination of quality ingredients and classic dishes in a homely atmosphere has been our recipe for success since 2005. Entrecote, sole meuniere and choucroute are some of the dishes we have on our menu every day. In addition, we also have special weekly menus.

Romantic atmosphere and amazing food

Romantic atmosphere, very good food, and very nice staff. Even though the restaurant was almost full it felt like they only were serving us as we did not have to wait long for ordering food, or wait to get the food. Perfect for a dinner with your loved one

I've been to Brasserie Blanche a number of times, and always found the food to be top class. Not this time. I had a duck with something I can't even remember what was, except that it wasn't particularly good. The duck itself (confit de canard) I suspect was not cooked enough. The desert was also disappointing. Unless this was a... More

I was here in connection with business and we had a nice time. The atmosphere is good and the food is classic and nice. This is probably a very good place to bring your date or your loved one for a nice meal.

As a party of 11 people, we preordered a fixed menu for a fixed sitting in the christmas high season. As of the preorder, I would expect the service to be on-time and hussle free. This was not the case. The resturant had probably overbooked their capasity and that made us wait and wait. Crowded as it where, it was... More

When here for dinner this December for dinner with work. The food was delicious, especially the dessert with valrhona chocolate and passion fruit sorbet. I almost ordered an extra dessert! The ambience is warm, which probably has to do with the fact that the restaurant is in fact an old refurbished stable. The staff was extremely helpful, and the owner... More

I am not sure if we were only unlucky with our waitress, but we were a group of twelve colleagues and the service was not the best. We were "advised" to buy wine by glasses instead of sharing bottles as this was more complicated to sort out for us! The restaurant certainly made enough money on that "advice". We had... More

This is a good restaurant with a very good wine list. However they need to do a better job with their food. I had the entrecôte. It was not at all a good cut. It was full of gristle and poorly done. On the positive side the wine was quite good.

Brasserie Blanche is a somewhat reclusive French restaurant in a busy street in the more snobbish part of Oslo. If you prefer a decent meal to glam and design, this could be the place. We ate the 4 course Noel menu- and it was tasty and rich. I especially enjoyed the lobster soup!

I have been here many times as I live only a minute away. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Oslo. You can always eat well here. All dishes are very well prepared and staff are friendly and attentive. Friendly, informal atmosphere. Good value too.

The food was definitely good and enjoyable but you pay for it. Service was quite adequate and I had no complaints. The atmosphere is cosy but a little bit more on the formal side, so might make a nice romantic date location but isn't a place to kick back and relax. Would go again but for me personally it wouldn't... More
