We were a group of colleageagues going to eat "lutefisk", the sopecial Norwegian Christmas dish, dried cod that is soeaded in lye and the cooked. The chef simply does not know how to prepare it. The first helping was so watery tht it resembled a soup and should have been eaten wth a spoon. After complaints the secind hlping was... More

After the first night were we visited Fjord restaurant we thought this might be a bit cheaper for the ambiance was mor pubwise. The food was very good, had a ceviche and entrecote as main dish. Together with the very tiny desert we expected the price to be lower than the first night, disappointment allover, because it was even more... More

Went to Handverker having read good reviews. I was found a table pretty quickly despite it being busy. Homemade bread and caraway butter to whet the appetite came out with drinks. They have over 250 beers; ask the staff for guidance. I was about to have Odin's Tipple but was advised on Skumring... Much better! The sausages were delicious. Will... More

When you arrive in Oslo and want some traditional food and beer with a friendly and helpful staff, stop here first. The food is excellent...we had the sausages and mash and it was by far the best meal we had the entire time. The beer selection is almost overwhelming, but the staff can point you towards the best Nordic beer... More

Found this place via ratebeer.com, man we loved it. The look of it is awesome. Old school stain glass windows, leather chairs and bar stools. Wood everywhere and a beautiful bar. Plus the music was so cool! Mix of jazz and indie stuff. Now the important stuff. Food and drinks. Wicked beer list and I had a lovely beer off... More

I first looked at the menu outside on Monday evening and thought it was a bit expensive knowing that good food and Norwegians usually not comes hand in hand. By Wednesday I had maid up my mind and decided to give it a try, I do regret I did not paid a visit already on Monday. Then I first walked... More

This place does have a great atmosphere and a good beer selection. I had sausage and mashed potatoes, which was pretty good, but there were only about 4 options for main courses and 3 for starters. The beer is also quite expensive, but probably not much more than most places in Oslo. I'd probably go back for a beer, but... More

The place is nice and warm, the atmosphere is also very nice but as everywhere in Norway the prices are not too attractive. Beer selections are very good including the best Norwegian bee.
