Nice neighbourhood restaurant and pub in Oslo's main shopping street, Bogstadsveien. A wellknown meeting spot with soul and atmosphere, and a history dating back to 1885. Since then, the premises have been housing both a pharmacy and a bakery. As a restaurant, The Broker has been an informal and popular hang out place with many musicians and artists among its regular guests. The newer Broker retains a classic, brown interior, decorated ceilings and large chandeliers. The Broker has a good selection of beer, wine and liquor, preferably from smaller Norwegian producers. It has of course a great selection of tasty dishes on the menu as well. Everything is made from scratch and based on seasonal ingredients. Atmosphere and friendliness is Brokers trademark. The Broker has the ability to make you feel relaxed and welcome - and once you have been there, chances are you'll repeat the visit.

(Based on two visits) The Broker is one of the older restaurants/pubs in Bogstadveien, and that can be both good and bad. The locales are old, and if I'm not mistaken protected, and from a time in history when everything was dark brown. The Broker is in other words not the brightest and most fashionable locale in town. A nice brasserie on the shopping street in Oslo (Bogstadveien). The interior is nice, the menu is good for lunch or early dinner. Staff friendly. Nice place to have just a coffee if you are shopping.

Nice pub on the middle of the popular Bogstadveien. Well worth a visit for a beer or two. However, if you are looking for a greater food experience, this is not the place to go. Priced far above quality. However, after a couple of beers the burger taste great.

I went here for a business lunch on a weekday. The place was not busy and the service was OK. The menu is a bit big for lunch in my opinion. The taste of the food lacks a bit of spicing and love. So the food is a bit bland. This place is better as a pub at night then... More

Easy going and good atmosphere. can get crowded especially from thursday onwards. One of the few pubs in Oslo that makes you welcome whoever you are or where you are from.

We ordered eggs and bacon for lunch as usual. The meal arrived late and the eggs were cold. This is a quite all right restaurant for a meal or a beer if you neither are in a hurry nor starving.

The restaurant is nice and popular. This time we ordered eggs and bacon for lunch and a cup of cafe' au lait. The meal tasted delicious. But the cafe' au lait wasn't especially good. The service is a little too slow and laid-back.

Went here in the pouring rain because from outside it looked very welcoming and warm. We had fled a neighbouring restaurant because it turned out we were invisible. The interior of this pub is beautiful and original and it has a great atmosphere. The painted ceiling is particularly impressive. We were really looking forward to our meal as the surroundings... Read that its the best burgers in town. Used a map to get there and walked past the first time as there are very little signage to indicate where it is. The seating serving space is minute and can be crowded. The serving staff was helpful and we got a table quickly. Burgers are very good, fries protions are too... More
