This place has a relaxed athmosphere and the service is friendly. Try the herring! Very tasty and delicious.
This is a hidden pearle in Oslo. It's a combined drinking and reading experience. Don't miss out. My favorite place in Oslo!
Really lovely cafe in Oslo, opposite the park that sits behind the royal palace. Perfect for a long lunch in the sun - if there is sun lol. Food is very good and healthy. The staff are all very good looking and very cool - perhaps too cool to serve people - they had lots of friends dropping by so... More
While the bookshop is small, it houses a better selection of literature than some of the larger American megastores. Light, open, airy, a very pleasant place to sit and read/converse/relax. Took a while to get served and some of the staff are less on the ball, but one of the staff outdid herself when we had some lost property and... More
At first look this cafe/restaurant does not look too much. Connected to a very small book shop, it is located next to the Royal Palace and usually has the odd celeb. Decent wine list but the staff are so so. If you can ignore bad manners for location, worth a try.

No one came over to provide menus, no one said hello. After five or ten minutes we managed to flag... More
We were strolling in Oslo, looking for a place to take our two year old twins for lunch. Most of the places near Bogstadveien either opens later or does not have childrens chairs. They have a good menu, you can ordre half a dish for the kids and both the food and service was very good.
A friend invited my wife and I to join her for dinner at Kafe Oslo. We were happy to go try it. Unfortunately, the waiters were all very rude throughout the entire meal. We've lived in Norway for two years and are accustomed to low-key, Norwegian-style service, but this was just rudeness. My wife liked her meal (herring), and mine... More
I have been here a couple of times just to have a drink. Very nice location and atmosphere, you can just sit on the stairs outside the restaurant and enjoy the sun and a drink, or get a table and order food inside or out. Have tried the shrimp salad and it was very good, I highly recommend it. This... More
