Years ago my S.O. had a very pleasant evening at Feinschmecker, so when we by chance had a few days in Oslo again we were excited to revisit our old favorite. Booking was very pleasant even at short notice. It is a very nice location and the interior has nice ambiance. We ordered the "EN SMAK AV FEINSCHMECKER" menu option.... More

My wife and I ate here our first night in Oslo. From the moment we walked in the door the staff was welcoming and cordial. The food overall was very good with a few dishes amazing. My wife's creamed mussel soup was outstanding. I had the Chef's Menu with wine pairing which was very nice, especially the turbot. Thank you... More

We were in Oslo for only a few days and this restaurant was recommended by the locals. Although not having a reservation we were made extremely welcome and seated immediately. We chose the Chef's Menu and were not disappointed! Each course complimented the previous and was just the right amount to be enjoyed. Matching wines are also offered but we... More

We were the first guests at the restaurant at 18.00 on saturday. They were still placing the tables. Although it felt a bit awkward being the only guests, the staff made us feel very welcomed. The restaurant was very elegantly decorated and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed. We chose the seven course menu, Taste of Feinschmecker. We have read... More

Very welcoming. Service was impeccable, well timed with little waiting but never rushed. Got the Chef menu with wine pairing. They topped off glasses, and the wines were not only paired well but we're interesting in themselves. The moscato with dessert was unique on its own, especially. Everything was first ate delicious and presentation. The turbot was great, but the... More

Feinschmecker had a Michelin star for more than a decade, and could easily receive it again. Focus is on well-tested and high quality courses (ie not overly creative/surprising). Great experience, attentive staff and good wine selection. Very good atmosphere. Try it and you shouldn't be disappointed.

We were three people going for a seven course dinner, including wine menue. It was a pleasant welcome, a good table and an exciting menue. We enjoyed the evening, even if we had a feeling that the waitress was very bussy and had not time to give us the extra little chat/comments that makes you feel beeing taken care of.... More

After having experienced a perfect evening at hos Thea the day before, my expectations for Feinschmecker were very high, too high I assume. The half dozen oysters were alright, close to freezing temperature and somehow not as fresh as he ones I ate 2 days before in a restaurant close to the harbor. I repeat they were alright (not bad).... More
