My husband went for their dinner menu (5 courses) and I had a starter and main. We were both extremely happy with all the courses we were served. The waitress showed great expertise in recommending the wines and food dishes and the service was excellent. Though all the courses we ate were excellent - the duck confit was particularly outstanding.... More

I visited just the bar: it was cosy with outdoor seating. The selection of tap beers was rather limited compared to many other bars in Tromso. My colleagues praised the cocktails.

Efficient and friendly service, attentive but not invasive. Intimate setting, food and wine was excellent. The waiter knew the best food and wine combinations.

Compared to the other restaurants in Tromso, this one was by far the best. Definitely try the duck with fig (was divine) and their cod dishes!

On a short trip to see the northern lights we decided to try the best rated restaurant in tromso on trip advisor The positive stuff , location good , ambience appropriate with tables well candle lit and space to enjoy. The menu varied ,as is the custom in some Norwegian restaurants you are offered an appetiser , and the two... More

I feel a little mean scoring this with only a 3, but the reason it lost points was pretty major. To start, we had lobster ravioli and seafood soup - absolutely excellent, and made us optimistic for the main courses. The main course comes in 2 parts - so if you're not very hungry, I would skip the starter. I... More

If you were planning on making a decision based upon "outside appearance", logo, strap-line then you would never eat here, but, get over all of that and enjoy quality ingredients cooked very well and served sympathetically in a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

Outstanding food in a really nice restaurant with friendly well-informed staff. The reindeer I had was (probably) the finest piece of meat I have ever eaten - and I told the chef as much as well. It was tender, succulent and just beautiful. Splitting the main course into 2 separate dishes is interesting and puts an interesting twist on it... More

Lots of positives to rave about here, as the chefs go beyond preparing traditional dishes using great ingredients, but take a step further and create fantastic dishes, both in taste but also preparation and presentation. Lots of places in Tromso can make food that tastes great, but few can also make it look great, and surprise you with their flavor... More

My boyfriend and I had a really great night out at Compagniet. Our meals were perfectly prepared, and the wine pairing spot on, the service was great with knowledgable waiters and discreet attention whenever needed. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tromsø. And the nightclub is definetly worth a vistit as well, affordable prices and great atmosphere.
