When all else was closed on Sunday it was open and welcoming. A pleasant place to eat, or just have coffee, at any time

We had breakfast and dinner here during our stay in Tromso. Nice ambience and friendly staff. I like the informality of the place. You walk into the restaurant, find a place, pick up a menu and then go to the counter to place the order. Food was good but pricey but I guess this is common in Norway. A main... More

You get what you pay for. By UK standards this is pricy, by Norwegian its a steal. We had a burger which was quite nasty but the potatoes were good. It was about £18. Wes tayed in the attached hotel and breakfast was ok, lots of choice. We noticed a few people were piling their plates and obviously economising on... More

Egon is a chain of restaurants around Norway, and if you come from the UK it's probably best to think somewhere along the lines of a Harvester: mid-budget, quick, tasty food with a bar. Food is primarily burgers, ribs, fajitas, etc, etc - pub grub. But it's a good option for getting away from Norway's high prices - a baked... More

I`m often at this place because I live nearby. Usually I`m in for a beer with friends. When I eat something, it`s tapas platter, pizza or other small dishes. The atmosphere is good, very unformal, the waiters are nice and friendly and nothing to complain about service. You pay at the counter when you order your food and drinks, when... More

Typical hotel/bar food - not great but not bad. Open all day which is good as many restaurants close on Sundays and many close for several hours between the lunch and dinner hour. Extensive menu catering to tourists.

The best hamburgers of tromsø simply; but the fries weren't anything to talk about. Beware of salty prices but then again it's Norway :)

For a 25 euro hamburger and some fries it was kind of a disappointment because the burger tasted okay but wasn't very special. There were some fries on our plate but not very tasty. I don't care about vegatables but if you do that's the biggest disappointment (see picture). You pick a table yourself, order at the bar, remember your... More

If you fancy a pub-meal, by all means. The food is okay. But that is all it is. There are plenty of better options in Tromsø than this.
