The atmosphere is built on old Norwegian culture, with artifacts from Tromsø's beginning.I you live at the Thon hotel Polar you'll eat our breakfast wich is included for the hotel guests. We have a wide menu, which includes everything from light snacks, to rich main courses. We also have a large selection of desserts, where both bananasplit and oreocake are sure winners. For the children we have child menu, a playing area, with games, movies, balloons and a Egon activity booklet.Our motto is "Everybody belongs at Egon".

This is a good restaurant if you wish to eat before going out on a Northern lights trip as it seems to open early and is near the pick up point.

Hard to find a restaurant over easter, but Egon was open. A lot of different dishes that scared me a bit, but eventually we were all happy with the food. Nice and tasty. Portion are big, so except if you're starving, don't take a starter.

We stumbled across Egon on our last night and wish we had found them sooner! We were greeted warmly, and the food was delicious, we went back for lunch before our flight out the next day, we had the pizza lunch buffet, which is awesome value in Tromsø if you are on a budget.

This is a nice restaurant if you don't want a fancy bite to eat. It is cosy with many small chambers/corners to eat. You order at the counter and your meal is served. Friendly staff, great variety in food. Good price-quality.

This is basically a very over-priced pub food. You go up to the bar to order as in any other pub. The food is average. We ended up coming here twice due to the lack of other places that were open out of season. If you have a choice of somewhere else I don't think I'd bother.

Moderately priced (for Tromso!) and good portions. Decent range of US/tex-mex type food, and a couple of reasonable veggie options. Even one which was made vegan for us. Pizzas looked amazing.
